I visited this Fredericksburg Rd location with my sister, today. I was quite impressed with the decor although the carpet needs replacing. This Luby’s was bright and the tables were well spaced creating a good ambiance. I had turkey, dressing, broccoli and green beans. My sister had a vegetable plate with jalapeño cornbread. I wish I had bought a dessert as they looked so delicious… next time 🤭
Wonderful to see Lubys still open! Such really great cafeteria style restaurant. I enjoyed the Turkey and dressing. Wonderful squash casserole with green beans and a huge slice of carrot cake. Jalapeno cornbread.. all Wonderful
Troubling was a group of 5 waitstaff talking loudly..laughing and large gestures which took away from the dining experience wholly. I motioned to them to please quell the talk or to have a "measure of decorum"... it didn't help. This group stood together and talked loudly throughout my meal... just under the TVs mounted on the wall and infront of the read dining room entrance. I had to pack up and take my meal to go. I was bothered in such a way that I called the Manager on duty.
Unfortunately there aren't many Luby's left in town. But the one on 410 & Fredericksburg Rd get it done right!! LuAnn platter is my go to option, smaller size entree, 2 sides & a roll for like $8.99!! Best liver & onions I've ever had!! Pic shows bacon cheese steak & fried fish - both excellent!!
I enjoy eating inside the atmosphere is very pleasant. The staff are always on top of things making sure you have everything needed to eat your meal. The turkey and dressing I love with cranberry sauce macaroni and cheese so good.
Good was amazing but my BF did find hair in his food. The manger did take care of us about that. But yes definitely will be back didn't know kids eat free on Saturday. Chicken fried steak was big but was all batter.
Besides the line , we got seated pretty fast & the food is good , fast service, over all I would come back again .
I have been frequenting this location for over 40 years. The food is great with good value. I miss some of the older staff like Dina, Ester (she is still there), Diana and Carmen. They knew/know how to make this establishment rock. I went there this week and the moving down the line, the people serving need to learn from those senior staff members. They were not making eye contact or barely mumbling. They just looked at me waiting for me to tell them my order. Other than that, congratulations on so many years.

** Experience**
I noticed the food from the parking lot. I was only driving to see If it was busy. I saw the food and it looked like a buffet so I went in. I was greeted and smiles were everywhere.
** Customer Service**
Once I got my food and sat down a waitress came to my table and told me that she would take care of me and get me anything I needed. My cup was never empty. Nuff said
** Food **
I walked out holding my belly, assuming the worst. I felt like I was going to pop. The food was tasty and I enjoyed it.
** Overall**
They're not that many luby's around anymore. But this place had some good food and the environment was awesome. I would recommend coming here to support local businesses and family gatherings.
Typically Luby’s with good service. Quality and flavor were also good. We did not have to wait, select was excellent. Waitress was very good at doing refills and checking in with us.
Glad that I have gone to luby's my mom invited me for friends for my birthday thanks Mom the fish was so delicious like and the service is always super great
