This place was suggested to me by a writer buddy of mine. Due to being new to the Salt Lake Area, I had not heard of the place. I decided to take a stop in and try their drinks and take advantage of the awesome set up they have inside. I can tell you now that I am far from disappointed in this place. It is a geek haven with an atmosphere that really wants to make you stay til close. I love the chai latte they have, both the sweet and ginger. While I know some people in the review have stated being aghast at the prices, you have to remember that you get freshly made drinks that are not just poured out of a bottle in the back. It's worth the little extra money for the great specialty flavors and love put into each drink. I would highly recommend this place to anyone and I have already dragged half a dozen of my friends/family here the past week and a half just so they can bask in the awesomeness that is WatchTower Cafe. Keep it up, my geeky peeps! This place is amazing! Go, get a drink, hang out and mingle with all the other nerds!

I love Watchtower Café. The owners are so cool and super geeky! They have the most friendly awesome Baristas in the world. I love the geek theme of the shop and the fact they carry a local roasters coffee. It's also nice that they have other options for the days I'm just not looking for coffee. They are by far my favorite coffee shop I've ever been to.

Watchtower has become one of my new favorite places in downtown Salt Lake, locally sourced ingredients from the coffee to the books. It manufactures a very comfortable environment for a perfect place to go during the week or the weekend. We went on Sunday, which as we all know in Utah is the slowest day of the week. It made enjoying the shop that much more enjoyable. The iced coffee selections were amazing, the vanilla and Tongan Caramel we're so delicious. I wanted more immediately after and I can't wait to go back. Black Lantern is a great read and I finished it in one sitting. I love supporting locally! We will definitely be back, my fiance and I.

Creative drinks, beautifully prepared. The owner's housemade sauces frequently have a Tongan flavor. The curated collection of comics is unmatched in such a small retail space. The spacious patio has morning sun and afternoon shade. The window murals are adorable - you can spot the owner among the happy painted people.

This place is Amazing! They are open and in business, it's a new location and they don't have a sign yet. They made me an Aged Bourbon Cold Brew where the beans are aged in bourbon barrels. It wasn't even on the menu, but when I asked about cold brew options they were very informative. I love the Comic theme and that they embrace the Nerd. They have all kinds of fun swag, records, Tshirts, stickers, mugs, and more. I really liked a "Keep Salt Lake City Nerdy" shirt and asked how much it was since it wasn't posted. The associate said it was $15 so I decided to get it. When the other associate rang me up it came out more expensive. When I mentioned it the initial associate stepped in and honored her first price. I was blown away to see someone do the right thing even if it could come back and affect them negatively. That associates integrity was truly commendable. They are very blessed to have them. Both associates were friendly and helpful and I really enjoyed my time. It’s my first time being to this new location. I went to their old location the last time I visited Salt Lake City and loved it so much I had to make sure I came to see them again even though this time I was just passing through. If you love coffee, tea, comics, music, amazing customer service, or just a Nerd looking for some comrades it’s must see.

This place is awesome! Way more than your average coffee shop. They have way more to offer. Tons of games to play. Plenty of comics to read. Even little caves you can go hide in to get some quite time. On top of that the staff is great! I was helped by Corey who really knows coffee and she was really friendly with all the dumb questions I had. If you haven't been here you defiantly need to check it out. It's more than just a cafe.

Great tasting coffee. Every time I’ve gone in, I can over hear people from the community sharing their love and support for this local spot. Even tourists have come in to chat/see the comics available. Really awesome place, I like the vibe of people that also like this place. Knowledge on coffee and comics are impeccable. Coffee staff is really cool. I dig it. So they started selling this Gourmet Lolo Sauce. It’s been sold out twice when I tried to buy it, finally I got my hands on it and wow! Put it in some coffee, put it on some pastries. Delicious.

Wowzer this new location is STELLAR They sell great quality coffee + accessories, chocolates, teas, snacks... Then there's the menu! Sometimes the music is mellow and laid back, but this Sunday they're poppin Dianna Ross. What a vibe. Records and comics, tee shirts, masks, and more. Either on the patio or seated inside, this is a fun coffee shop!

I am so glad I had the opportunity to visit the new Watchtower location! I was certainly a fan of how homey the last place felt, but this new building is just so impressive. The decor and vibe is all extremely cohesive, and the interior and exterior layouts are very comfortable. I also adore the painting on the doors of the staff members! There is an interesting collection of artsy books, vinyls, and comics available, as well as some specialty chocolates and cool tee shirts. I was also lucky to receive some free stickers, which are also of impeccable design. But the best part is that the coffee I had at Watchtower was the best I have had in MONTHS. I haven't had much time or budget for a while and have only had drinks from Starbucks or at home. Going to Watchtower and having that Solstice Mocha was like the first time I tried a drink I actually liked. It was so refreshing and honestly just good for the soul. The Solstice chocolate sauce and the perfect espresso were just so lovely together; I can't stop thinking about it! I look forward to coming back many, many times in the future!

I stumbled upon this gem in search of a 911 emergency coffee. I was completely surprised and impressed with this duo of a coffee and comics shop. Its located in the Talisman building right on Main Street. It's definitely super artsy, trendy and cool. They have all sorts of things from games to comic art, drawing material and even wrapping paper for your last minute Christmas gifts. I love that they offer plant based milk as a milk alternative and they also have the typical almond, oat and regular milk too. Not to mention they sent me off with the coolest sustainable and recycled drink carrier for my drinks. Yay for the go green efforts!! Check out my photo. I'm all seriousness I came in hangry and in dire need of coffee. I ordered the caramel latte with regular milk and it was delicious and really hit the spot. I love how smooth the espresso tastes and their barista was kind enough to get me in and out in no time. They also have an assortment of food items and even chocolates from Hawaii! If you in the area I highly recommend checking this place out. It's also fun and first date approved. Don’t forget to follow them on IG @watchtowerslc for the latest deets on comics and cafe goodies.
