This place is incredible. I love the food. The atmosphere and the staff are super incredible. Everyone is very friendly and they help you with the menu and their recommendations are very accurate. The hummus with lamb is incredible. I recommend it. thanks to Ashley, to our waitress who I can't remember her name but such a beautiful person and the man who I think is the owner thank you very much for being so kind
Mazza serves Middle Eastern fare. They have lots of shareable appetizers like naan and falafel. We got Mazza Baked Kafta with Potaoes and Rice as well as Chicken & Potates Mutabbak. They were identical except for the meat. The sauce was delicious but the beef was on the spicy side and tasted strange. Definitely get the chicken.
My favourite restaurant in Salt Lake. High quality, interesting Middle Eastern cuisine that never fails to be please. The menu has a lot of dishes, some you won’t find anywhere else in Salt Lake. I’ve tried a lot of the appetisers/mezes and they are all special. All the good I’ve eaten there has lots of flavour and is very fresh. The staff are friendly and very good at what they do. Worth a visit if you are visiting or if you’re a local but it gets busy so reservations are the best way to get a table
We have a few favorites in the neighborhood so we thought we’d give Mazza a try. The service was adequate, just enough attention, but nothing spectacular. Similar to the food. Not bad, but nothing to get too excited about. I don’t mention salads much but mine was saturated with vinegar, super sour. The lamb shank was tender and tasted good but about average flavor for what I’ve had before. The chicken shawarma was the same, decent flavor but forgettable. The ambience was great and quite busy right before closing time. Maybe I caught them on a bad night but not sure I’d go again with better options nearby. Edit: Management reached out to me. For that, I bumped them up a star and will probably stop in again sometime. Folks who can take criticism and not get upset are super admirable in my book. Nomad East and Sasa Kitchen are two of my local favorites.
One of the very best meals of our 3 month adventure starting from Amelia Island FL. The food was outstanding, and the service and ambiance very nice as well. First time I've had Mediterranean fine dining. After our meal, the owner came to our table to ask if we enjoyed our meal. I really respect when a chef or owner is passionate enough to ask for feedback. If I ever find myself in Salt Lake City again, this is where I'm stopping.
This is a genuine rare find. The food is excellent. The atmosphere is perfect for a small group or date night. The wait staff are friendly and attentive in the style of a community family. Many people there are clearly regular customers who interact with the wait staff like they're old friends. This place is on my very short list for Salt Lake City!
We have been going to Mazza for 16 years and still love it so much. Appetizers are incredible, always very fresh. My favorite meal is spinach lamb dish. Service is so personable and we have seen the owner taking care of customers many times, so friendly. The place has super cute small patio. Indoor area is very nice but also on a smaller side. It’s not the cheapest place but you will feel welcome and taking care of when you come.
Everything was wonderfully flavored. We had a great experience and enjoyed a variety of the appetizers. The owner came out and spoke to us about what makes a good dish, too many restaurants just add extra sugar, it's about creating full flavors through proper prep work and seasoning.
It's not cheap, but it's not overpriced either. Enjoy the experience!

If you’re looking for affirmation, you have it. Ignore all the negative comments here. This is a true family style dining experience with authentic Lebanese food and incredible service. This is something you don’t find many places anymore. From a genuine conversation with Owner Ali, to wonderful experience with server Alyssa (a new chi-weenie is coming) talking about her son Arlo. This is the type of dining the world is missing - genuine and sincere service and incredible food. Stop reading and looking for a reason and book a reservation!
