The Green Mill in St Paul has the best food, excellent customer service, and my family loves to go there! They also have a separate room that seats about 60 people....great for large groups or parties. I highly recommend this place to my friends and family!
First time at Green Mill and I'm very impressed with their food! Being gluten free because of Celiac disease it's hard to find places to eat that have good options and good food but Green Mill has it! I got the four cheese burger on a gluten free bun and would definitely get it again. Friendly service and nice atmosphere.
Pleasantly surprised! Ordered a couple pizzas and the first deep dish we got was pretty flat compared to normal (Green Mills deep dish is normally well risen and delicious). Manager offered to replace or refund, I offered to give the first pizza back but they said to keep it and thought it would be an hour before it was delivered. The replacement pizza was here within 30 min and it was hot and looked amazing. So good! Great customer service!
We dropped in for lunch on a rainy Tuesday in March. Our party of six was warmly greeted and seated immediately. At the start service was slow. The staff was short handed but soon a manager stepped in and started helping the wait staff and apparently some phone calls were made for reinforcements because new faces soon appeared. This was a family get together of relatives who don't see each other enough and we had so much to talk about we stayed for 3 hours. No worries, the restaurant made us feel welcome the whole time and even refreshed our coffee and soft drinks an hour after we had paid our check. I salute the manager and wait staff. They addressed the overloaded room with good spirits and responded to the sudden burst of activity with grace. The food was, as usual, good. The walleye dishes were popular with our group and everyone was happy with theirs.
We really like what you've done to the place! Haven't been there in awhile but there has definitely been a refresh done. Very nice. I did not order a pizza but thoroughly enjoyed my chili lime chicken bowl while my husband had another type of chicken bowl. Both were excellent.
Pretty solid meal with good service.
I had the 4 cheese burger ($14). I thought is was a well crafted burger based on the ingredients. I ordered it medium rare. It came out perfectly cooked.
The fries were crispy and hot.
My wife ordered the chicken Pamesan sandwich on Pita ($13). The flavor was really good.
The wait staff came and checked on us 3 separate times.
My recommendation would be to increase the portion of fries or to add a small side of something unique to enhance the experience. The price point is close but just a bit too high for what comes out. The competition in the area offers some really unique burgers and sandwiches and larger portions for a dollar or two less. With that said, there are things on the menu that look unique to Green Mill (pizza for example) that might influence people to return time and time again.
We were somewhat hesitant to come to this location because we had a very mediocre experience in the past but it seems like the new mgt model took care of some loose ends. I'm happy to say we had a good experience. Keep it up!
They revamped Green Mill on Grand. It's really nice, great booths, welcoming atmosphere and a cute new market. Staff was quick and pleasant. There food was good, not amazing. My teenage boys really like it.
Love the new bar. The tacos were really good. Shrimp!
