A neighborhood watering hole. Decidedly Irish in decor and vibe. Looks like it should be in Boston. The music is loud and the accommodations are few; there is no service and it is up to you to order your food from the cook at the window and to get your own drinks from the bar.
However, the food is made to order, portions are generous and the price is right. Jack Patrick's is a comfortable place to be. It appears to be a place where people of all persuasions are welcome.
I stopped in this bar for a drink last weekend. I didn't eat, however the service was quick, very friendly, and reasonably priced. I will be back simply because of how many employees had smiles on their faces during a busy Friday night shift.
Decent burgers. My wife and I live downtown and when we don’t feel like cooking anything we more often than not end up at Jack’s for a burger. Jacks is not quite a dive bar, I would describe it more as a rundown local bar. The menu is not overly extensive but the burgers are surprisingly good and the price is right. So if you just want a decent burger without the high Washington Avenue prices, than Jacks may be your place.
Great Hamburger. I live downtown and wandered upon this place by accident. I was on my way to Maurizio's and discovered they had moved. Since I was walking I couldn't make it to their new locations so walked a couple more blocks and ran into this place. Glad I did. No to go orders or phone orders but I had a great hamburger and some good bloody mary's.
Great bar food. Cheddar burger is excellent.
Total dive, but it's my kind of hangout... A little dingy, but the potato skins and burgers with nice folks make this home.
Yummy yummy yummy. Great food atmosphere and they even let the critters join. They had an interesting assortment of special drinks and the pickle shot was actually delicious. I would have it again and it was only $4. We had a late lunch and we’re pleasantly surprised with how good the food was. It was packed with college students so it was a fun chill vibe and I bet it gets busy on the weekends. Will be back for sure when we visit again
Had a delicious huge cheeseburger with fries and beverage for not much more than you'd pay for a fast food burger combo. Great value. If you're hungry in the area it's definitely worth a visit.
This place is a great stop before anything going on at the dome. Burgers were really good. Beer was cold and plenty of options. Service was quick if kinda crowded.
Kai was awesome. Wings were great. One of the best homemade wing sauces I've ever had. Will definitely visit again when in town.
If you want to go to one ‘locals’ bar in St Louis, this is it. This isn’t some fancy ballpark village bar. It’s the real deal. Guinness that they know how to pour, great hamburgers and even a gruff bartender.

The prices are competitive and the food was quite tasty. I recommend the Cheddar Bacon Burger with the Onion Straws. The food service was slow, but it was only one cook working the place.
Overall, I’d go back and would have gotten 5 stars if the food service was slightly quicker.

I don’t normally go to local bars and eat unless I am short on time and desperate for food and failing other options. Jacks is across the street from my office and has become my go to place. The cook Gerardo creates a high quality food experience. He has produced meals that have surpassed some higher end restaurants. The burger are fantastic the many times I have had the. They are better than the burger place next door, Baileys.
Come and talk to Bob behind the counter, have a drink and enjoy the food. It will be served is a less elegant way than it tastes.
Was here 9:30 pm Wed/20 July. Unfortunately kitchen closed but the menu looks good :). Got a Heifefeizen beer, only $5. Bartender was cool.
Anytime I am in the downtown area it's hard to pass up a burger from here, and their chicken tortilla soup is delicious
Wonderful place! Staff is great, lots of waiting for beer though. Had a great time!
