Had the Loko Moko, and it was amazing. Rice, eggs, beef patty and gravy. Huge portion, cooked right in front of you. Service is great, but remember, it is cash only, and limited seating. One of Sacramento's hidden gems!

June and Dennis are some of the nicest people in the city. Every dish is made to order by June herself. She's the only cook, so during busy hours your order may take a little bit but trust me, her food is worth any wait. I've gone through the entire menu and haven't found a single dish that wasn't delicious. Her portions are generous. And the macaroni salad and Miso soup that come with every order are amazing.
Personable service, huge portions, tasty home-cooked American/Japanese dishes. The favorite, the kare over rice, is always very rich, and the katsu is freshly made and tasty. June and her husband are attentive and friendly. This is a good place to go with a friend or two at lunch, or to sit alone and read (which is what I usually do). $7 or $8 and you will have a meal large enough to fill up even the hungriest belly.
I first visited this tiny "hole in the wall" Japanese eatery about 35 years ago. The original owners have passed on, but June has kept the original menu. The only real changes are the prices. Great food.
June's is a friendly tiny neighborhood spot for ramen noodle & vegetable rich meals. In the heart of Sacramento's nearly gone Japan Town. Enjoy lunch at June's, then walk the blocks nearby to shop in a Japanese market, enjoy flavorful shaved ice, and buy a new obi.
Handmade dishes by June herself. A treasure in Sacramento. I dearly love this place. Be prepared to relax and enjoy the good food. Nothing here is in a hurry.
Homemade food, friendly service and good prices. Bring cash, as they don't take checks or cards. Definitely go check it out.

This place has strange hours but has the best chicken Katsu that you’ll ever have in your life!! It’s well worth the wait If it’s open! 😂👍🏼
