This review is not about the food, albeit the Turkey Avocado BLT I had was great. No, this is about store manager Mike going 'way beyond . . . .
About a month ago, by cycling group, all senior citizens, stopped at another Panera's in Sacramento. Unfortunately, they were closed for remodeling, but staff was there handing out free coffee and cookies. Mike was there and in conversation learned that we planned an 80-mile ride to his store on Howe to honor the birthdays of the two 80-year-olds who ride with us. He secretly told some of us he would "do something" when we got there.
We were eating our sandwiches when he and some staff brought out balloons and a huge cake with the guys' names on it. HBTY was sung and pictures were taken. Nice job, Panera's.
Me and my daughter went and eat thier last nite. Love thier soup its so good. Had a salad Greek, was so good.
Just simple place with simple food. Nothing special didn't see. If you are hungry you can grab some sandwiches or pizza
By far the best location in all of Sacramento and surrounding areas! THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! The staff greets you upon walk in. No matter swamped they are with orders they maintain smiles and great energy. I be happy to wait patiently when things are hectic. It’s my way of showing gratitude to their exceptional customer service. I know many of the staff by name as they very well know mine. I decided to leave this review because whenever I go to other locations (Elk Grove, Folsom, Citrus Heights) they make HOWE look even better! I am so grateful for the staff at HOWE you guys are awesome!
Called to talk with the manager about purchasing 4 cinnamon rolls, the rolls were raw inside. Ended up throwing them out. The manager explained that they have a new baker. Please monitor the bakers to make sure there is proper rise time and they are baked through. Please don't sell the public raw dough.
I must say the bread is amazing, pumpkin cookies were amazing. Cinnamon rolls, not so much. I will not purchase them again. The manager did say to me that the next time I come in, give my name and they will take care of me. I am registered on the Panera App.
I ordered ahead online and accidentally sent it to the wrong location. The manager explained how yo cancel the order, took a new one, and honored the rewards discount that I had used for the misplaced order. They are SO HELPFUL here every time!
Had Panera Chipotle Flatbread Pizza for the first time and it was excellent! I ordered the pizza without sauce. Unfortunately, there was sauce on it however, they remade a new pizza without charging. The staff was wonderful and allowed me to give the first pizza to someone else. I was very impressed with their service.
High quality green goddess salad with fresh greens and lots of toppings. Friendly and attentive staff. This is how a Panera should be operated.
Love Panera! Have forgotten Starbucks!

Just a suggestion : Add more vegetarian items like some more salads,sandwiches and some fries..pizza base I don't like...
I ordered catering for today for 25 people. The catering food is worth every dollar. Staff is friendly, and Will helped me carry all the food to my car.❤️ I will be ordering again at my next event!
Best Sour Dough Bread in town. A lot better than any store brands. Try it, what do you have to lose?

Aaaah, I won’t have enough words to describe how much I love Panera bread… that’s why it’s so packed every time I go there
I like the food, what I order almost all the time is the combo which is tomato soup and tuna sandwich, or tomato soup with grilled cheese sandwich, must-try is the tomato soup, it’s out of this world!
Now, one thing I don’t really enjoy is the sandwiches, in my case the tuna sandwich and the grilled cheese sandwich. Tuna sandwich- sound great and it looks great, but when you taste you don’t really taste the tuna, it’s salty and I think it has some cheese in it, I don’t know, but not my favorite. The grilled-cheese sandwich is not what I hoped for it to be, by that I mean, I hoped at least for it to be crispy, though it was like a flip-flop, I can jiggle it up and down. At least they could’ve toast the sandwich a little longer…
If you’re asking for something extra, the choices with the combo are apple, baguette and chips, always and I mean always go for the baguette, you can’t go wrong with this one.
