Love the food here! Best Korean food in sac. The galbi and kimchi pancakes are to die for!
My favorite spot in midtown. Super friendly staff, amazing food and a good atmosphere. Everyone I bring here loves it.
You can enjoy Korean and Japanese cuisine here(More focused on Korean). Not a super fancy restaurant, but you can have home-made style food and it is quite good(Pancake was thicker than usual but except that, I like all food here). I have dinner at least once every 2 weeks here.
I had the spicy pork lunch combo today and I was impressed! Delicious meal with big portions for a good price in a nice and friendly environment. I will make this place a regular lunch spot and would recommend this place.
Our server was super nice! My husband (no fault to the food, it was fantastic) chipped his tooth bc of an existing problem, but she was so concerned and made sure we were taken care of.
Answered all our questions about the menu, and everything was great.
If you like good Korean food that is pretty much like home cooking, then you must try Aura! Your taste buds will thank you. This is the second time that my wife and I have visited this restaurant and we have not been disappointed. The wait staff is outstanding! But, the food is phenomenal!
I highly recommend this restaurant even though parking is hard to find at times.

The food is very delicious 😋 it's light but filable. I highly recommend the crazy fries 🍟 and the tofu tacos 🌮!!!!! The place was nice and modern, and really friendly. You get a bit of a home vibe there. Highly enjoyed it!
First time here and the service was wonderful. Server came and checked on us often. Hotstone Bimbipab was amazing! Was served pickled side dishes as well. Will go back again. ^__^
Great casual eatery for Korean food! I came here a couple times and have always enjoyed it. The food they serve is Korean but I find that it's more American inspired Korean with it's dishes such as the Yang yum chicken which is breaded. The item I usually get is the spicy chicken and compared to other places, it is spicy! For a normal consumer it may be a bit much but I love it. This is the first time I tried it for the lunch special and although it was around $12 it had a lot of food for the price. Normal dinner prices are higher so watch out if you're on a budget. Overall the service is friendly and I would definitely recommend here.

This just in: Aura will be closing permanently as of Aug. 26th, 2023.
I live nearby & often order pickup from Aura- crazy fries, bulgogi tacos, katsu curry, etc. Last night as I dropped by to pick up, the hostess (an owner) told me the building's owner/landlord gave them 30 days notice to vacate the restaurant space after they've been there for 9 years, and that their last day is one week away. Why? He wants to open his own Japanese restaurant in the space.
They are sad and regular customers are too, but with lease prices as high as they are, and lunchtime business downtown never quite rebounding to pre-pandemic levels because so many employees still work from home, they won't be able to relocate & reopen downtown. The hostess' cousin owns a restaurant in Roseville called California Roll & Grill at 1725 Santa Clara Dr. off of Douglas Blvd. and the entire staff will be transferring there, with the cousin agreeing to add Aura specialties like the Crazy Fries, galbi & bulgogi to their permanent menu.
So, get over there quickly if you love their food! And if you miss out, you can still go get your fix in Roseville.
This was absolutely amazing! It's fusion Japanese and Korean and they do both really well! I cannot wait to go back for more. Everything is so flavorful and well prepared. I had the spicy chicken and it did not disappoint. Perfect blend of sweet and spicy. The crazy fries were some of the best fries you could ever imagine. Don't be afraid to try them.
