This may not look like a fancy restaurant and I’m good with that. The okonomiyaki is perfectly on point; I make a special trip for it here. The Ramen dishes are soothing to the soul on those chilly nights.
I love this place! IMO, it's one of the best places to get ramen in Sacramento. If you like spicy food, I recommend the challenge ramen, hot and with an egg. You're welcome 😊
The staff here are great and bring your food quickly. The place is always clean. I highly recommend this place!
The lady who runs the shop was friendly and polite when severing and taking my order. I ordered udon and chicken karaage (I recommend). The restaurant is only ran by her and one chef in the back, please if you have the time to stop by and have lunch to support small local businesses. I ordered salmon teriyaki and udon separate times as pictured.

Best Ramen place I've ever been to ,we've been going here for years and they know our order and our names by heart and are so accomadaing and friendly. They make us feel like a part of the family and the food is perfect. Highly Recommend!
Fantastic food and super quick service. Everything was super delicious! This was my first time here and was not disappointed. Lots of choices so you can't leave disappointed.
This is the best ramen place I have ever have! I refuse to go to any other place. I have been going here for years and it became my favorite place ever since I ate here for the first time. Len and Lin are the kindest owners I’ve ever met. They care so much about their customers and they are angels.

I do enjoy a good bowl of ramen every now and then, especially the milky creamy tonkotsu varietal. The location of this new ramen establishment is within walking distance from my home. The last time I had this luxury was when I was living in SOMA in SF. Even then, the ramen was $12+ a bowl and not always great. Each bowl here clocks in right under $10 before tax. Ever since Mensho opened up on Geary street in SF, I’ve kind of been using that as the bar to beat, unfortunately Tenjin isn’t close to being Mensho, and that’s ok, because I don’t feel like waiting in line for an hour anyway. In Sacramento, I like Ryujin the most. Tenjin is very similar to Ryujin. So if you like Ryujin; you will most likely enjoy this place. The black garlic tonkotsu ramen is nearly identical as Ryujin. Same thing with the gyoza and takoyaki. Not the most amazing but solid — the skin is perfect on the gyoza but like Ryujin, their gyoza lacked flavor. Takoyaki was unfortunately deep fried and a bit soggy. I did however, thought the spicy tonkotsu ramen was just ok, as I tasted more of the sriracha than the creamy broth. As always, there’s always room for improvement and I hope to see this nice little neighborhood ramen place flourish. I will definitely come back should I have a sudden hankering for some creamy black garlic tonkotsu for a quick fix, definitely a very nice addition to the neighborhood.
We are never disappointed with a dinner from Tenjin. When the lock down happened my family (consisting of 3 households) would get take out once a week from a nearby restaurant. This is when we started getting food to go from Tenjin, and we have been enjoying their food ever since.
The staff are always very friendly, and they always do a great job accommodating any substitutions and additions to our orders. We are huge fans of the Teriyaki Don, the tempura, my husband loves the salmon, and my go to is the roasted garlic fried rice. Definitely support this great local business, you'll be happy you did.
I had the kakuni ramen and it’s honestly the best ramen i’ve ever had, has great service here and always checking up their customers, I would highly recommend this place if you have a hard time finding a place to eat with your friends or maybe your first date
This place is great for casual family dining. I have yet to try their selection of ramen choices available and cannot reccomend an absolute favorite at the moment. Though I have tried their Red Tonkotsu and I like it. It was not as spicy as I would have liked it and the table did not have condiments; but I ,nonetheless, enjoyed my food. The service here is great as the staff frequently check on their customers and are prompt in refilling any empty cups. I was very satisfied to have eaten here.
