Good. Fresh! sometimes the chocolate chip Kuchen, which is our families' favorite can lack the chocolate chips. It's getting expensive too.

The donuts were great. The knish was outrageously good. I very much liked the Russian Coffee Cake. I only with the coffee they had was good to go with it. I highly recommend that they up their coffee game!
This picture shows only 1% of what they offer! I had to bring to a seasonal party a selection of sweet baked goods. The staff at Malek's enthusiastically selected a wide range of delightful baked goods and even cut the larger delicacies into bite size portions and displayed them on a serving tray for me. Wonderful place with wonderful workers.
I was at Malek's for the first time ever today, and I bought a ton of smaller pastries. They were all delicious! Unfortunately, I only managed to take a picture of one. They called it a Linzer Torte, but based on Google Images, I don't think it looks even like a mini-Linzer Torte. That doesn't matter, though; it's one of the most delicious pastries I've ever had, so if it looks good to you, go for it. It has a rich almond paste, and probably a whole stick of butter in it. It's SO moist and good! Also, I know lots of people who say that chocolate babka from Malek's is to DIE for; unfortunately, they only had one beautiful loaf left when I was there, and I was only looking to buy a slice or two. No dice. Maybe I'll go for the loaf next time, 'cuz it looked YUM!
Update: Their renovations are done and they are open.
Maybe they’ll be open. Maybe they won’t. Sign on the door says they’re closed because they are making “yummy treats.” Is it a surprise that that have to make “yummy treats” today versus every other day of the year? Doesn’t even say when they WILL be open. First visit. Last visit. If I can’t count on them being open for their advertised business hours, why would I waste the time?
Fantastic local bakery , we needed rolls for Thanksgiving dinner and leftovers. The dinner rolls and small sandwich rolls were amazing . They also have a large assortment of desserts . The Kuchens looked delicious, I will definitely be heading back for more . Make it a must stop if your any where near the area

but they're always well stocked on everything, employees are friendly and their prices are very good. Their chocolate babka is my fav.

I ordered a bunch of random pastries today…. Because I’m a gluten haha…. But wow. I used to live in NYC, and this easily rivals the best NYC pastry shops.
The cherry turnover- light, airy, and they use sour cherries!!! …which in my humble opinion, is the only way to do it!! They cheese danish— totally on point.
The staff is extremely and provided excellent recommendations— even to a newbie, such as myself.
One of the best pastry shops in Rochester— if not the best. If you’re in or near Brighton, do yourself a favor and try this place out!
