The Black Tonkotsu Ramen and Chicken Karaage was incredible
The place is clean and the food tasted good, The man was working by himself taking orders and cooking he did very good job 👏🏽
I was pleasantly surprised by the authentic Hokkaido-style ramen offered at this restaurant located in downtown Raleigh. As I walked into the establishment, I was immediately greeted with warm and friendly Japanese-style hospitality by the staff. I must admit, I was initially taken aback when I saw a menu featuring Chinese fast food items displayed on the walls. However, the staff patiently explained that they serve Chinese fast food during lunchtime to cater to the local crowd, while they focus on Japanese ramen for dinner to offer a more diverse culinary experience to the residents and visitors alike.
After careful consideration, I opted for the Tonkotsu Ramen, and it was an absolute delight. The broth was rich and creamy, with a perfect balance of flavors that left me craving more. The noodles were cooked to perfection—firm with just the right amount of chewiness, exactly how I like them. The slices of pork were tender and juicy, practically melting in my mouth. On the other hand, my friend ordered the Seafood Soy Sauce Ramen, and if I hadn't already been full, I would have been tempted to have another bowl myself because it looked incredibly enticing. My friend didn't leave a single drop of soup behind.
If I ever find myself in Raleigh again, I will definitely make it a point to revisit this restaurant. I appreciate their dedication to crafting delicious food and their willingness to offer a range of culinary options to cater to different tastes. The authentic Hokkaido-style ramen experience they provide is truly commendable. Thank you for the passion you put into your cuisine.
The food was cooked to order and the man was very friendly! Great prices for lunch. My meal was only 5.99 for General Tso Chicken, rice, and 2 spring rolls.
I’ve been eating here since about 2015. Every convention I go to I’ll stop by here and get a meal. And now that I work downtown, I’ll stop by here at least once a week. Food is very tasty and honestly a great value compared to a lot of the options downtown. Staff is always very friendly (and they have really cool plants in their building!). Noodles are never too dry and never too soggy, they’re just right. if you’re looking for a large tasty warm meal, this is the place.
Delicious, definitely stop by for their dinner. They serve Hokkaido style ramen with a tasty soup base.
I don't know what I fell harder for, the amazing food, or the nice lady at the register playing Ivoris on her phone. ♥
Perfect for the occasion fast fare Chinese food! Right in the middle of Downtown Raleigh. Very small dining room, but there is interior and exterior seating. Shade umbrellas cover the outside tables.
