First time here and the atmosphere is old time southern vibes. The outside is a totally different sight from the inside(in a good way) our waiter Davion was super helpful, prompt and mad cool. Food was great. Slam dunk.
Ingrid was our server. She was excellent. The other staff was helpful as well. We had the clubhouse (added jalapeño bacon) and Lane Street BLT. Pasta side salad Both were excellent! Prices a reasonable for these days and times. $13 for entree. I will be back to work my way through the menu.
Wonderful neighborhood restaurant. Low key, lots of good choices on the menu.
Nice fat sandwiches come with a choice of a side
Not your typical ingredients, but enhanced with lots of fresh greens, nuts or fruit.
White table cloths and quick service. Note to self: Go back to sample the extensive dessert treats.
Very traditional Raleigh NC restaurant. I would highly recommend it for lunch. Very good sandwich offerings.
This is a small spot with an old school feel. The white table cloths help make the place. Sandwiches were good and came out quick there is no fried food and offer pies for dessert. The corn and bean salad that came as a side option was a very odd flavor and texture mix. The service was a bit slow and seemed unorganized.
Had supper with my brother and his wife. They love it and now so do we. Homey atmosphere with white linen tablecloths. Food was delicious and the service was great.
Absolutely stellar food. Southern cooking’ with an offering of well over 15 sandwiches, all very unique. The atmosphere is beyond cozy. This place has been open since before I was born, and as a matter of fact my mother worked there when she was in high school! Fantastic place for lunch. I cannot recommend it highly enough!
Absolutely a must stop in the Raleigh area. The pimento cheese sandwich will excite your taste buds if you can fit it in your mouth! Be sure to add bacon for a little extra pop of flavor. Save room for dessert that you can’t miss. The homemade apple pie took me back to my grandma’s house on Sunday afternoon. If you want the best homemade food that will make you feel young again, be sure to come in and stay a while. You will want to savor every bite.
This little gem stands proudly on a quiet side street in the historic district. I loved the ambience 🥰 The staff is quite friendly and knowledgeable about the food, as well as the history of the area. The sandwiches we ordered were delicious and so filling we had no room for dessert! Great choice for lunch😀
This is by far the best place to go for salads, sandwiches, light bites and lovely desserts. The atmosphere gives tea room vibes and there is not a bad dish on the menu. It's a casual neighborhood spot with the best sweet tea in town. They cater as well. Be sure to say hi to Mary Lu when you visit. 👋
