I was craving some paella and it seemed Barcelona was pretty much one of the only places serving it so we came. To be honest, I think the paella was probably the worst executed dish we got. The tapas were all great, but the paella was mushy, gritty, and overall just not very pleasant. I do think we'll come back for the tapas again, but probably with a bigger group as it does get quite loud inside and shouting across the table isn't great for date night.
Felt like we were back in Spain! Delicious food, lively atmosphere, and so many wines to choose from!
This was our first time at Barcelona and we’ll definitely be back! The staff were so friendly and helpful, even when it came to dietary restrictions. Executive Chef Corey also stopped by to check in during our meal! Can’t wait to go back!
The concept of tapas here is great! The food was delicious, our waiter was very helpful on what dishes to order, but the service was not the best. First of all, it took a very long time to get our dishes…even our starter of bread took more than 20 minutes to come out. They even forgot to bring out our Jámon Serrano, we had to remind our waiter that we ordered it. I would definitely come again but at a less busier time.
We had good experience at Barcelona Wine Bar. The host, manager & servers were all friendly & attentive. The dishes were mostly excellent; my favorite were the pork belly & mushroom, the sangria was good also.
This is a great place for large meetings and gatherings. The tapas are perfect for sharing. Lots and lots of wine and cocktail options. There's a parking garage right by the restaurant so it's very convenient. There something on the menu for everyone! The roasted vegetables are delightful! The outdoor seating is casual enough for random visit and special enough for a date night... overall highly recommend!
During our second visit, we chose to sit outside on a summer night. The atmosphere was perfectly chill, enhanced by the evening breeze. I must admit, I’m not a fan of their indoor ambiance - it’s too noisy for my taste. The potato tortilla has now surpassed the pork belly as my favorite dish. The service was impeccable. If they want to make any improvements, it should be to the drink menu. The cocktails, in particular, were subpar.
Had a lovely Christmas Eve dinner here. We ordered several tapas and a seafood paella. Everything was delicious. It was a cold night so they offered hot apple cider, which became my favorite. The flan was so good that, despite being a bit too sweet for my liking, I couldn’t stop eating it. The pork belly is a must-try.
This place is gorgeous first of all. And more importantly the food is so delicious! I wanted to try everything, and will be back to try more. I’m gluten free and the waiter was able to mark up the menu for me on what was safe to eat. I had no problems afterwards, and it was so delicious!
I have always loved this place but somehow it took me so long to finally try their brunch menu. Everything we tried was exceptional. It reminded us of tapas we had in Barcelona. This spot has some of the most unique brunch dishes if being adventurous is your hobby! The price is reasonable compared to other tapas places within the are and specially when you consider that its located in Downtown Raleigh. Staff is really friendly and will help you pick out items if you are not familiar with spanish food.
If you are coming for dinner - don't skip out on their Paella. Its honestly as good as it gets outside of Spain.

My bestie and I had the most amazing experience at Barcelona Wine Bar yesterday! The place itself has a cool vibe, with a mix of rustic charm and modern touches, instantly making you feel at ease.
The Tapas style allowed us to order multiple things we saw that looked delicious without feeling any ounce of guilt about it later.
Our waiter was excellent, he was extremely friendly, gave us some on-point recommendations. Not only did he help us navigate the menu but he also had some fantastic wine pairings up his sleeve.
I got so excited about what we were ordering that I overlooked on the menu a dish that happened to have a food ingredient that my body doesn’t agree with.
AJ, the manager came over to assist me and his genuine care and professionalism really topped off the night. His frequent check ins made us feel valued and cherished!
Because of that we will be coming back constantly as the total management & dining experience was incredible.
Spent date night here last night with my wife after looking up Wine Bar on Google & decided to give it try. Boy were we surprised. They were able to accommodate us well before our reservation and were so nice about it. The drink selections were massive, the service from Ryan was top notch, especially his recommendations & knowledge of the menu. The food was excellent especially that Patatas Bravas tapas, wow. We will definitely be returning & bringing a host of friends with us. A must try in the City. Totally worth it.
