Went here for lunch from work. I had the Carne Asada plate. The chips were fresh and crispy. The service is fast but my steak felt old. A lot of food for the price you pay though. The bar is also nice with some great choice of sauce.
This is our favorite Mexican restaurant. We eat here a time or two a month. The food is high quality and the service is friendly. They have generous portions and refills on drinks. Has the unique feature of a salsa bar so you can pick the spiciness of the salsa to have with your chips.
Went for lunch. Very friendly staff. Quick service. They have a nice salsa bar. They bring you a basket of chips and then you have several salsas to choose from.
Got the chicken fajitas. Talk about a ton of food. Between the fajitas and the rice/beans you will leave stuffed. Food came out in about 10 minutes. Went at about 11:45 and it wasn't really that busy yet but by the time I left, more people started coming in.
Food was very tasty. Would definitely go again.
I am usually afraid to try a new restaurant especially for tacos because it’s my favorite food so I’m very picky. I’m so glad I gave this place a chance . The Cali style steak tacos are delicious. I haven’t had tacos that taste this good since I was in phoenix Arizona, 2019. These are the type of tacos I’m always looking to find , at restaurants every state I visit, and it’s rare I find it. The steak, pico and guac sauce topping is perfect. The salsa verde is non spicy and thick, exactly how I like it. The tacos are filled up and are a good size. These are the best tacos I’ve had in years.
Born and raised in Northern Mexico (Los Angeles). I judge mexican restaurants based on their chile relleno and they are pretty good here.

I absolutely love this place!! I'm from So Cal and Los Cuates is the only Mexican restaurant I will eat at in Raleigh. It's so reminiscent of the Mexican food I get from home. I've been going here since 2010ish and will never stop! The owner Claudia is a sweet person too! All the employees are friendly and patient!
Great mom pop authentic Mexican restaurant. From outside it may not look so great but food is excellent. Very colorful n chill environment and very friendly staff.
The food came out hot, fresh, and seasoned well. I wanted more but had no room to put it. I went with the carnitas plate after asking for suggestions 🤔. There is too much to choose from, which is usually a good thing. Will go again.
Really enjoyed the tacos, refried beans. I thought the rice was extremely dry. Tamales were not terrible but not really that great this time. Awesome employees. Nice location.
I am born and raised from San Diego and half mexican. This place is the closest taco shop I have found in North Carolina to San Diego mexican food. The only two reasons I did not give 5 stars is because of their portion sizes. Los Cuates is much more expensive and we get half the portions we get at any taco shop in San Diego. Their burritos often come out looking like a rolled taco.
