The food was excellent, staff were nice, very clean restrooms. Food was all preservative free, Boars Head meats, coleslaw was excellent, and best French fries I've ever had.
It all was perfect.
Thank you, people, for a good, welcoming atmosphere.
I didn't know much about this place, but it was close to Tupelo Honey which had a two hour wait on Sunday. I got the grilled chicken caesar wrap with sweet potato fries. The wrap was great! Not too much dressing and plenty of chicken. They give you a ton of sweet potato fries too. They were nice and crispy on the outside but soft in the middle. A little overpriced, but it didn't take too long to get my food. Also know that they put a pickle on your plate. Luckily my husband ate mine, since I hate pickles.
**Village Deli and Grill - Review**
Located in the heart of Raleigh's vibrant Village District, Village Deli and Grill is a must-visit destination for those looking to enjoy a delicious meal in a casual, friendly setting.
The atmosphere at Village Deli and Grill is both warm and welcoming, with a simple, unpretentious decor that immediately puts you at ease. Seating inside is comfortable, and the outdoor terrace is the perfect place to enjoy a meal al fresco on a beautiful day.
The Village Deli and Grill menu offers a range of mouth-watering dishes with an emphasis on freshness and quality. Sandwiches, made with top-quality ingredients and served with fresh bread, are a real treat. Grilled options, such as burgers and grilled chicken breasts, are equally impressive. And don't miss their famous fries, perfectly crisp and deliciously seasoned.
In addition to the food, Village Deli and Grill offers a selection of sides, including salads, onion fritters, French fries or sweet potato fries that are simply delicious!
Service is friendly and attentive, with staff who strive to make you feel at home.
Whether you're looking for a mid-day lunch spot, dinner after a day of shopping in the Village District, or to enjoy a meal with family and friends, Village Deli and Grill is a fantastic choice. Its combination of delicious food, welcoming atmosphere and friendly service makes it a Raleigh staple.
Rating: 5/5
Didn't really get acknowledged while standing patiently with no one in front of us or at the register with two people operating separate registers, and someone forgot to clean up the sugar container for sweet tea from the drink station, which also looked like it hadn't been attended to or cleaned in hours, 2 star off. Pastrami on rye was okay but hardly any Dijon mustard on there. It's a squared bread so no real reason why the meat should be piled unevenly on the sandwich. Didn't get a pickle but then asked for a spear and got a few, so that was awesome, 1 star back for service. Coleslaw was very mediocre, not enough dressing or seasoning.
Overall it's a solid spot to get closer to actual food without paying an exorbitant amount. For a $12 sandwich I expected some more meat though for a meat bread and mustard only sandwich.
great location and great service. I just feel like they have a lot on their menu and I have a hard time choosing between what all to try. food taste good tho, good serving sizes.all good
Village Deli is a Raleigh classic, and I always enjoy bringing friends and family here. The food is good as is the atmosphere, and is located in the heart of Village District! Would strongly recommend it as a lunch spot in Raleigh!
Sooooo dang good. Best egg salad I’ve ever eaten best onion rings I’ve had. Fries were on point and the Philly steak was up there as some of the best I’ve had. Found this place by chance and so glad I did. Came in for a quick bite to eat and am very satisfied. After last nights expensive and disappointing dinner at ragazzis in garner this has made up for it and some. Lady taking out order was very friendly and helpful in answering questions. Even let us try the egg salad before ordering. This is one of my new favorite sandwich places in the triangle💙💙
I don’t know how else to say it, their burger is the best in the entire world. 6/5 stars. Everything about it. No weird “butter” on the bun, natural-tasting flavor. Proportions, crinkle fries. All spot on. Fries are actual fries not grease with a little bit of potato. Fresh ingredients. 10/10 this place. So glad I was introduced to it.
This place was a 10/10 experience. Whatever ideal picture you have for a deli -- this is it! Not overpriced for the area, chill staff, great menu, etc .. feels very modern with how efficiently it's ran as well. Super yum everything!
Great place for breakfast! I ordered the Supreme breakfast bowl with sausage and it was great! I prefer my food to have a kick. If you do I'd recommend adding some Texas Pete which they have available. My wife ordered a traditional breakfast which she enjoyed. 4 out of 5 stars as my wife's grits were very runny. Not sure if that was by design or not.
