Ruski's in one of the best bars in the City of Portland for a number of reasons. First and foremost Ruski's has preserved its identity; it looks the same as it did when they opened back in the 1970s. In fact Ruski's is one of the last old school joints in Portland serving the Platonic ideals of ungentrified dinner grub.
Ruski's offers great breakfasts all day. The chipped beef on toast is the stuff of legend and the best kind of hangover brunch remorse. Their menu is diverse, their food is delicious and their prices are definitely reasonable. Ruski's will pour you a generous drink. The bartenders are friendly and I've never been disappointed by the food or the service. Ruski's is a true neighborhood bar and a "destination location", which I highly recommend. Two thumbs up!
This place is an absolute gem. If you like fine dining and white glove service, go somewhere else! This is an old townie haunt where every seat at the bar is full in the morning and you'll be the odd man out if you order a coffee. Food was great, service was great. We only wish we had found this place sooner!
Came in for Sunday brunch and had the sausage biscuits which were amazing! If you like hole in the wall/ dive bars with greasy food and a nice staff, ruski’s is great. My friend ordered OJ and Tito’s and got a great pour. So, the drinks are strong, which is always a plus.
Best bar in Portland. Lovely people, great vibes, AMAZING food and drinks. The whole place looks like a dive bar historical art gallery heaven. I hope to be back soon. Highly recommend.
Pleasantly surprised
Tavern environment, but tasty food with super fresh ingredients. A local gem that is off the tourist radar. My wife loved the veggie benedict and I had the banana bread French toast. Very creative.
One of the best omelettes I've had in a very long time. Highly recommend this local hidden gem for breakfast. I can't wait to try their lunch or dinner. Great service.

Ruski's is the quintessential neighborhood corner Pub. We went in about 10:30 am and the place was already almost full. But it wasn't crowded and the staff was friendly even if you weren't a regular customer. Didn't get a chance to sample the food but plan on returning soon.
