Very yummy homemade ice cream! I got the cookies and cream and loved it! They do have a good list of various flavors to choose from. You can also add a brownie to your ice cream, or have it served in a cone bowl. The restaurant itself is decorated very nicely. The staff wasn't super friendly, but they weren't rude at all either. Just average. We stayed at the hotel around the corner from here and are here 3 times during our stay!

Does this place even need more reviews? I live on the next block which can be a dangerous thing and I have to stop myself from going there every night after dinner. The Oregon strawberry and the salted caramel are perennial faves. These days they have a new flavour - the maple pecan pie and the earl grey - tried those recently and whew they were amazing. I save the cookie sandwiches for special occasions as they can be quite decadent, it's a good idea to mix choose different cookies for the top and bottom, that way you can try two cookie flavours. Locals do not need this information, but if you are visiting Portland, you HAVE to eat this ice cream, forget some of the other pretentious places. Also, there is another ruby jewel store on NW 23rd ave, which is larger and has a big seating space inside. Be sure to check that out too. Can;t wait to bring my family here soon who will be visiting from abroad.

Enjoyed this ice cream parlor. Great staff, great quality and flavorful product. Available in non dairy also called cow free lol. A must visit while in Portland.

I've tried out 3 popular ice cream shops in Portland this week and this one is my favorite. They have simple flavors but the quality and texture of their ice cream is top quality. Try out one of their massive ice cream sandwiches.

The smell of freshly baked cookies on 11th had been tempting me to try this place for a while. Finally went and settled on the mint chocolate chip on double chocolate chip cookies. Ice cream was nice and minty. I feel like it was excessively sweet, and the chocolate could have been a bit better quality, but it was good. Cookies, however, did not seem fresh (they were very dry and overly sugary), so I would recommend asking for fresh ones, especially at that price ($6)! Maybe then they'd be soft and delicious! Worker set-up seemed a little inefficient and was told to wrap around the line dividers even though we were the only ones waiting to be served, so that was a little weird... but nice, fun vibe and interesting flavors, too, like lavender honey.

Small shop with lots of nice seating. The selection of ice cream is just the right size, and they let you taste before you buy. Cones are made right in the shop and you can build your own custom ice cream sandwich. Flavors are spot on. You will love this place if you are looking for a bit of ice cream.

Awesome ice cream!! Had a chocolate and peanut butter cookie with cookies and cream ice cream, a huge portion but ate in 3 minutes! So good. The place is small and clean, you get a good choice of flavors and can get the regular ice cream or waffles or cookies one. The staff was very kind and price is ok!

Good ice cream! I had chocolate chip cookies with Oregon Strawberry ice cream in the middle. My wife had the Brownie Sundae. We both enjoyed our choices. There wasn't much of a wait. The service was great! He was very friendly!

It’s good I don’t live too close to this place! The flavor combinations are nearly endless! I had honey lavender ice cream sandwiched between chocolate chip cookies, coated with caramelized crispies, dipped in chocolate 😮

We stopped in here by chance while walking downtown. We had planned on getting ice cream at Salt and Straw because it was close to where we were staying, and gladly we did not. This was the best ice cream my family has ever had. I had the rhubarb flavour and it was amazing. We had Salt and Straw near Venice Beach in LA, and Ruby Jewel blew it away. They had build your own ice cream sandwiches that we wished we would have tried because they looked delicious. Must, must try, highly recommend!
