This was a delightful experience from start to finish. We arrived at maybe 6:15, our waiter (the owner) was funny and helpful in comparing the options and provided a vegan menu (don't worry, things like the egg roll don't actually have egg).
I got the vegan Hue soup which was delicious, and also really liked the tofu egg rolls. And as we were almost done, even though it was a Monday night at about 7:20 p.m. the waiter asked if any of us wanted to sing karaoke, which we did. No one in the restaurant sang other than our small group and the waiter. At one point the waiter took a break from serving to sing a duet with me and then do another song himself (a few people were waiting for their credit cards and may have been slightly miffed).
Overall it was great food and a great atmosphere. But if you are looking for an efficient, no-nonsense restaurant, this is definitely not the place for you. This is a silly, plenty-nonsense restaurant with great food worth the wait. Other than being slow service was really good.
An absolute GEM. We were in Portland for a short trip and randomly came across this place late at night. There is a whole karaoke setup there with various instruments, the food is INSANELY tasty, the pho was so good and the meat ribs were so juicy, we ate like animals and then went to sing the night away. It was a really great evening. also shout out to our waiter who went and sung for us too, all the staff there was so fun and sassy in the best ways, really made our time there go from good to stellar.
The pho broth is no joke. They seriously steep it for 24-48 hours and it’s probably the best pho broth I’ve had🍲 they have stage with live music and karaoke and if you’re cool you’d go and sing a song for everyone, if not guess you’re not cool then🙄owner is very sweet and it’s a great place for a chill, cozy dinner. The vermicelli noodle bowl was top tier, too. 10/10 loved it
Absolutely fantastic food. Yes, you're pretty much guaranteed a long wait, but it's absolutely worth it. In a town full of fantastic food joints this is a must visit. Brilliant amount of gluten free options.

Thursday night music! The vegetarian menu was very welcome. Great Viet coffee too.
I really enjoyed this place! I'll be coming back for sure! I love the decor and authentic food! The conversations with the staff made this place excellent. The butterfly bowl was perfect with the different meats and the addition of the mixed veggies. If you are visiting Portland I recommend this place, tastes soo good!
Delicious gluten free Asian food!! The food was tasty, fast, and large portions. The karaoke was memorable! You should definitely check out Butterfly Belly.
This restaurant is a must whether you are gf/df or not! I am gf/df and I could eat anything on the menu. The Pho is OUTSTANDING. The 48hr broth was so delicious. The pad Thai was the best I've had, maybe ever. The egg rolls are better than any I've had in many many years. They are friendly, caring and so helpful.
Omgoodness the 48 hr beef Pho was beyond..beyond amazing! But I’m not sure what I enjoyed more, the Pho or my waiter. He is SOO funny and entertaining, he’s having way too much fun!
Without a doubt, I’ll be back. I highly recommend this gem of a restaurant. DON’T PASS IT UP. Come enjoy.
Very delicious Thai-Vietnamese food! BUT, please keep in mind, you will be waiting a bit for your food. So if you're in a rush, probably look elsewhere. If you're looking for delicious food and some open mic then definitely check this place out.
