Walked in not expecting much. Guy at the counter was very friendly. Not cheap but our drinks were tastier than the Starbucks we had had previously.
Convenient!. I work in the Lawrenceville area and when I need a jump in the morning, Crazy Mocha isn't far. Do I like Starbucks better? Yes. If a Starbucks opened across the street from here, would I go to Starbucks? Yes. CM is good for the area, it's been here awhile and it appeals to the urban folk that seem to be moving into the neighborhood.
Caffinated Complexity. I have a real taste for their Wild Cherry Mocha, with an extra shot of espresso and no whipped cream. It's perfect right before a top-speed evening shift cooking at the T-Bird!
My only qualm with the Lawerenceville place is the situation of the bar for ordering, and the confusion it makes for costumers.
During my last visit I approached the register, even though I saw a woman to the right of it, I assumed she'd had her turn. The guy behind the bar quickly came to take my order and whisked-off to make it.
I realized the waiting woman was staring at me, and as I decided whether to look she was joined, from the bathroom, by her husband.
She snipingly told him that I had jumped-in-line, so that now they were both burning a hateful look into the side of my face.
Not wishing to make a scene for myself or the employee, I ignored them without looking.
Clearly, this is not an all the time problem, but this was not the first time there I've witnessed confused lines at this counter.
My suggestion would be for some kind of sign or more obvious ordering scheme, to avoid pitting customers against each other anymore that they already are.
Pittsburgh franchise
Good coffee and tasty snack food
A couple of rooms for quiet work
Free wifi
Friendly staff
I'm not a coffee connoisseur so I can't really speak to the quality of the coffee. However, I enjoy this place for its location and how much space they have. It also helps that every barista I have experienced has been friendly and welcoming.
A comfortable, ordinary coffee house. Good coffee (without being as pricey like some I could name). Coffee sizes are expressed in English (vs. made-up pseudo-European names).
The iced green tea is nice on a hot day; pastries are generally unimpressive.
Very friendly staff; good place to hang out, talk, or meet people.
The Lawrenceville Crazy Mocha is a snug little shop in a busy and popular neighborhood. Lines usually don't get too long, and the staff is knowledgeable about there products. I wish some of the snacks were cheaper, but the drinks are delicious and reasonably priced. I really love their Italian soda!
Very delicious. Will definitely visit again next trip to Pittsburgh. The inside was really cozy. I ordered the cherry latte, with almond milk. Was delicious. It is on the sweeter side.
The atmosphere here was very comfortable and clean.
We had coffee and desserts.
The staff was very kind. It was a really great place to hang
This place is really nice and quite. You can really get a lot of work done. Free WiFi makes easier to work. Smells so good inside.
Great spot to get some work done. Besides the music that's played quietly, it's a very quiet place to work and doesn't have a ton of coffee shop sound ambiance.
I walked in two minutes before closing time and Anthony was a gentleman and made us tea and coffee straight away. Amazing selection of tea and coffee was good too...thank you.
Other than more vegan treats, this place gets 5 stars for being rad as hell. Every store location I've been in is great
