This bar is probably one of the best, if not the best bar in Pittsburgh.
Barry is totally awesome. They always have specials, the bartenders are really cool .
Their sports specials there are the best, and they have like 12 big scre'en Tvs.
I really enjoy coming to this place as a local. I'm glad it's located in my neighborhood.
If you're ever in Squirrel Hill I definitely recommend this place, it's a lot of fun. You won't find specials, or drink prices like this, at any other place...
The clubhouse I never had growing up. Bartenders are all sweethearts and excellent. The People are all fun and social. Food is always good and appreciated. Events are always great fun including karaoke on Fridays and Open Mic Nights on Sundays featuring an amazing house band and other reoccuring acts! The drink selection is expansive and good quality with very reasonable prices. Games and activities are everywhere including pool (4-5 tables $0.75 games), chess, darts (2 boards), arcade style, and pinball. Game days are always a good time especially for Steelers and Pens. Not too crowded and always with a great vibe and atmosphere, Squirrel Hill Sports Bar is my favorite bar in Pittsburgh for sure!
Went here for the first time. These kinds of places are disappearing quick! Talked with the bartender who has been there for 40+ years. There wasn't a cool, so we didn't get to try the food, but we will definitely be back. Nice beer selection in cans and a few drafts.
A great tavern feel with wonderful food and friendly service. Highly recommend!!! Had my grandma, mother, brother, and twin daughters here. Was great!
Such a cool place. The grilled cheese is awesome and the prices are reasonable. My boyfriend and I got 3 alcoholic drinks and my grilled cheese 26 bucks. I also mistakenly forgot my wristlet. The bartender, who was very nice, noticed it and put it behind the bar where it was safe. The history behind the bar is also interesting. I will be back if I’m craving a grilled cheese.
A very casual, neighborhood street cafe. Went here while strolling the shopping street. Surprisingly, the food is great here. I wasn't expecting that given the ambience is more like a busy little bar.
On my second visit, I ordered a Cajun chicken sandwich. The chicken was cooked to perfection. Haven't had such neat burger in a long time. They also have a custom ordered mustard which is stone ground, it was so good.
I passed by the Cage once before, and I have always decided I wanted to give it a try. I can say the Food is very good and it is indeed a Pittsburgh and Squirrel Hill staple. It is an old Town Charm with an old Pittsburgh feel. The Lady who took care of me is an older woman named Jan and she was awesome, and welcomed me back. I definitely will come back to this place again. I live in New Kensington but in Pittsburgh a lot. Please visit here if you get a chance. I recommend it for the quaint, old town charm atmosphere and a wonderful Lady named Jan who made the place like an old town charm.
This is by far the best dive bar I’ve ever been to. Ever since they banned smoking this is both our go to neighborhood bar and our final stop of bar hopping any given evening.
As far as I can tell when ppl who work their have days off they just hangout at the bar as patrons. What better endorsement of an establishment than to not want to get away from your workplace and coworkers on your day off.
Their kitchen stays open late and for the price point I challenge you to find a better spot !
EDIT: No more smoking and limited menu is back! Try the burgers, fries, fish sammie, and any of the apps. Some of the best bar food in town.
Cozy, smokey dive bar. Great prices, great staff, and awesome chefs. It quickly becomes your go-to spot.
Best place on earth me and the girls go multiple times a week for cheap eats and good vibes
A not-so-hidden treasure. Fantastic neighborhood bar. Very friendly. Nice people. Great food. Good prices. Excellent service and staff.
Wonderful cafe & bar. The gal tending the bar was so sweet. She gave it that home town feel the second you say down. The prices were very reasonable. In fact for the size of the portions and quality of the food, the prices were down right amazing! The food was delicious as well, so if your looking for a nice relaxed little "hole in the wall" cafe with cocktails, grab a friend and head over. You won't regret it!
