The First " coffee shop " in Pittsburgh I know of and the best ! Heck Rùstëd Róòt played there when they still had "The Four J's" . Local Art floods the walls framed and with murals framing you into the space. It is a treasure on the South Side which needs this happening space of a place to sit down and have a cup of Java and feel some jive.
An eccentric and gritty coffe shop. Of course, the coffe is good. It is open late, has food, ice cream, pastries and serves alcohol at night. Pittsburgh has a lot of great and unique coffe shoppes with their own personality. This is one of the oldest.
The Beehive Coffeehouse is an awesome place to grab a cup in South Side Flats. Aesthetically speaking, this is one of my favorite shops in Pittsburgh. The diverse, colorful artwork and antique lamps on the tables make this a great place to hang out.
Delicious coffee, eclectic and cozy atmosphere. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. This place is a little wonder for sure.
Delicious chai. Love the vibe altogether. Reasonable pricing. Choose this spot over the Starbucks across the street!
Love this place. It's super laid back and they have wifi so you can get work done. The soup and chai tea are good and they also serve an assortment of Italian and French soda. The blackberry tis delicious.

This coffeehouse is just gorgeous- everything inside shines with neon local color- and the coffee is good. The decor really is incredible, from the little table nooks in the shop windows to the art hanging on the walls to the endearing bathrooms covered head to toe in kind graffiti messages. The colors are bright, beautiful, and distinct.
The actual coffee is good- better than chain coffee like Starbucks for sure. And they have reusable cups and plates, which is great for the environment and really ups the professionalism and class. However, the array of pastries and savory treats is limited and they mostly come wrapped in cellophane, which looks bad and isn't eco friendly.
On the whole, a wonderful, distinct local place to visit!

Honestly the coffee isn't that great. 9/10 times would say the espresso is burnt but the atmosphere is great. Small coffee shop, eccentric decor, the coffeeshop equivalent of a yinzer bar. They don't mind if you come in and just work for a few hours -- I've always bought something when I've come in but I don't think they would notice if you didn't.
If you are someone who wants clean, modern, and standardized, go somewhere else.
Coffee is so good here! Especially love the Irish Coffee and their brownies! You'll sometimes have to deal with some weirdos but that's part of the place's charm and character. Just like the bathrooms. I do miss the bigger room - I hate the Rowdy Buck. Would rather that be an extension of the Beehive with DJ sets and live bands at night. Also miss the old staff but that happens.
Coffee and mixed drinks are abundant here. Cool music and trippy art on the walls
