Absolutely recommend. It’s casual but also a bit classy. The bar is beautiful and the drinks are amazing. We also ordered food in the dining room and it was also amazing. Buffalo cauliflower was GREAT and the wedge salad was fantastic. It was a special so it may not be there when you go. Chicken parm was delicious and the pesto pasta was so good. Staff were friendly and attentive.
Frick Park Tavern is a little gem of a restaurant in Pittsburgh. The inside decor is comforting and welcoming, the ambience is great.
I have been about three times and everything I have ordered has been delicious. My only complaint is some of the dishes can feel a little too “butter rich” and lack an acidic component to balance out the richness of oil/butter they use.
Also, their website to make reservations is not mobile friendly.
Their cocktails are amazing, I highly recommend the Henry Frick!
If you’re looking for a low key restaurant in Pittsburgh with good food and good ambience, you should definitely try it!
Nice food and a nice atmosphere. There's a dining room and a bar, and it was surprisingly busy for a Wednesday night. It's not a big place, I imagine it would have a wait on the weekends so book ahead. The "tonight's toast" is a good appetizer if you want something light, though pricey for what it is.
What a beautiful place to eat, my first time in Pittsburgh and we decided to roll on by this place to get some dinner and I was beyond satisfied. The service was fantastic, the employees were all amazing with a great sense of humor and the food.... Goodness that food was amazing! I would highly recommend the Frick Park Tavern to anyone looking for a higher end restaurant.
Frick Park Tavern is a excellent addition to Regent Square. The food is delicious, the prices are reasonable, the selection has something for everyone and the service is amazing. As a craft beer drinker, the selection, while not vast, included local breweries and styles to cover all your tastes for a meal.

I love the concept of a neighborhood restaurant that I can bring friends or family to on any day. I think Ease was a great one at that and didn't need renovation, but here we are with FPT. So far it's been great. Below are my thoughts on the menu items.
Restaurants with huge menu are an automatic fail IMO. FPT does it right in that regard.
Pan-Roasted Salmon: cooked and seasoned to perfection.
Crispy Calamari: The squid pieces are small, so you taste more of the batter than squid. A little bland overall, and not really crispy. I do like the occasional fried pickle they mix in there that added some flavor.
FPT Salad: too much vinaigrette. I was a huge fan of their salad back when FPT was Ease. It was served in a big stainless steel bowl, well mixed with perfect amount of dressing. But the FPT salad was a letdown. Way too sour. I couldn't even finish it. Served on a plate so it's hard to toss the salad without accidentally dropping bits on the table.
FPT Burger: Burger's top-notch. Even more impressive was the fries. Among the best fries I have ever had - thick and crunchy. Rosemary sea salt was a great touch.
Buttermilk Fried Chicken Salad: Great pairing. Chicken was tender and juicy; good salad. Portion was small for an entrée but big for an appetizer, so I'd consider adding another protein option if for entrée.
Went here twice now, both were a delicious experience. Service was excellent, atmosphere comfortable and "Tavern Chic". I like going to a place where the food is better than what I can make at home, the Chef does a good job. Food was well portioned, fresh and yummy. Will come back, keep the quality up!
Our first visit to FPT was wonderful. We ordered mussels and warm bread appetizers. Mussels were prepared well and the bread was crusty on the outside and soft inside - a perfect accompaniment to the mussels (which were served with two garlic toast halves.) We shared a large FTP greens salad that had just the right amount of vinaigrette. Husband enjoyed the meatloaf entrée (seems to be a popular dish), while I thoroughly enjoyed the clams and linguini special. The dish was loaded with clams in a spinach, garlic and white wine sauce - so flavorful! Our desserts were cheesecake (made offsite) and house-made salted caramel panna cotta. I also enjoyed the Cardiff Chardonnay which was lightly oaked and crisp!
Our server, Audrey, was attentive without hovering. We had early reservations and watched the restaurant fill up before we left - so glad we made reservations through Open Table. I'm looking forward to our next visit.
My husband and I went to Frick Park Tavern for our first date night in Pittsburgh. It was great, the food was delicious, the place is beautiful and the service was fast. We will be back!
Excellent. If you haven't been you must go. Food was delicious. No negatives except a tad noisy which I can live with. We left very happy and can't wait to go back 😊
