What’s for dinner? Fish @ Molinaro’s for Christmas Eve!! Actually, I had dinner pre-ordered but it fell through. So, we tried something different. I ordered the Sole Mugnaia (sole, lemon, potatoes and broccolins)!!! I was hesitant since I ordered the same fish somewhere @ one of those Mt. Washington restaurants and was very disappointed. Not tonight! Usually, I rely heavily on the bartender’s assessment of the menu in coordination of what I typically like. Especially, if that bartender seems to really give their true option! Kay (my bartender) really liked the Sole. So, I tried it!!! Yum!!😋👏🏼 She said That all of the fish items where good!! I’m excited to try them all!! My drink was fantastic, too!! She concocted a drink for me! 🤗👍🏼 It was gray goose, pineapple juice, orange juice & cranberry juice!!👌🏼🍹🤸🏽‍♂️ It made me happy!! No doubt will I be back & I hope that she’s there!!🤞🏼🍽💋 On the other hand, Tone’s meal was very bland. He purchased the Chicken Romano. Everything taste good except the chicken needed seasoned more than the sauce provided. Everything else with it was good!! 😬🤫 Here’s some pictures....📷

Great evening at Molinaro Ristorante. Started with a Bellini and fried calamari. The calamari batter was light and not greasy at all. Delicious! Nice side sauce one side was mild and the other spicy. Main course was the linguine pesto, it was great! It needed just a sprinkle of salt. The pesto sauce was homemade, very fresh, really tasty. Linguine was cooked cooked perfectly Al dente. Finished the meal with espresso and lemon sponge cake dessert. It was light and so fresh. Decadent. our server was exceptional. Looking forward to coming back on my next trip to Pittsburgh. 👌

Fantastic all around! Great staff, great service and the food was wonderful. We booked on Open Table and ordered an appetizer, a great bottle if wine and I had the veal chop which was out of this world! See photo. My husband said his veal piccata was very good, a little zippy from the mustard. Dessert came on the recommendation of our server Billie which was a lemon dish that was delicious. Light, not too sweet or too lemony, the perfect finish to dinner. We were very pleased and can't wait to go back and enjoy a leisurely meal on the patio. We walked to the theater district after dinner for a show at the Benedum. Great location too.

We were lucky to get a seat at the bar and this restaurant did not disappoint. The bartenders were a little overwhelmed, but still were friendly trying to serve everyone. The cocktails here are amazing and the Cesar salad was one of the best I've ever had. I had the pappardelle with sausage and it was delicious and my son had the cavatelli with meatballs and it was gone in a flash. Definitely check out this place.

A new addition to the Market Square. They serve Italian food, not a very authentic type though. The food quality is acceptable. They also have a fair selection of cocktails, beers, and wines. The outdoor seating area is great for summer days. The service is very good. Above average for sure.

I was excited to see what molinaro could bring to Pittsburgh and was not disappointed. The southern Italian dishes were perfect. I went as a party of two and we shared an antipasto and pasta item and each ordered our own main course. It was a good size as to not over eat for dinner. We started with a mozzarella cheese special our waiter told us about. It consisted of smoked mozzarella, burrata, and two other cheeses with eggplant and smoked zucchini. We then split a fresh pasta dish with linguine and clams. The pasta was cooked perfectly. For the main course, I had the lamb. It consisted of roasted shoulder and grilled lamb chop. Each piece was cooked perfectly. The other main course was the veal Milanese. It was the size of a plate and again just right. We finished the night with a shot of Limoncello. This was better than anything I've found in a PA liquor store. Overall it was a great experience. On a side note, we noticed multiple parties complain it was too cold or one table was too bright in the window. I thought it was fine inside and not too hot or cold.

Food and drink was outstanding and worthy of the upscale dining cost. I’ve eaten at dozens of Italian restaurants, and this one competes well.

We went here for lunch on Valentines day since we both work in downtown. We were quickly greeted and seated. George was our server who was knowledgeable and provided recommendations. The ambiance was fantastic and food was Mighty Delicious. Price is little above average for lunch but worth every penny. We recommend this place and we will definitely come back.

A lovely experience from the talented bartenders to our wonderful server, Frank. Everything was delicious and well timed. The menu truly has something for everyone and many dishes that are perfect to share. It’s such a treat to visit a restaurant where everyone working is happy to see you and genuinely eager to please. It was perfect for a date night and the view of the skating rink at PPG will be just beautiful in a few weeks. We will be back!

the food was really good. the server, Lauren was excellent. My medium well tenderloin was definitely overly well done but it still had a good taste...my husband said his ravioli was pretty good as well. the dessert was probably the best part. we had the cheesecake and the lemon cake.
