My first time there had a gathering for my niece. The food was excellent and good customer service. Would highly recommend this place for soul food
The service, the menu, the portion sizes, and even the owner/chef were absolutely great! We came all the way from Baltimore to visit this restaurant, and can't wait to come back!!
The atmosphere is very nice. It's a quaint place on Broad Street. I've been living in the area for 19 years and I've never known this place was here. I tried the soul food/seafood and it was delicious. I tried the fried flounder collard greens and macaroni and cheese as well as the salmon over rice macaroni and cheese and cabbage. The food was well prepared and well seasoned. The service was very professional. My entire experience here was great. I would definitely recommend this place to others who don't cook, don't like to cook or even if you just need/want a break from cooking.
The food was hot, fresh, & delicious! You may have to wait a bit for your food, but that's because they're making it fresh and to order; you can taste that it hasn't been just sitting on a warmer somewhere.The portion sizes were excellent & the dessert options were off the chain! I had a piece of sweet potato pound cake yesterday - and today!!!!
The best soul food in the city hands down!!! Great atmosphere, great staff, cleanliness is a 10, bathroom is beautiful, location is perfect, prices are great, portions are large, what more can you ask for! I love this place! Me and my family eat here almost every weekend! I highly recommend you come see for yourself. You will not be disappointed!
They need a bigger place ASAP. Food is great,well done, fresh and most of all fried. This is one of the best restaurants I've ever been at. It was clean and had great customer service.If only they would expand so I can bring a more bigger crowed next time.
A small gem located near the intersection of Broad & Windrim.
Food was really, really good, the atmosphere clean and serene.
And I didn't have to break the bank in order to buy a hearty fulfilling meal.
The only adjustment I would change is the level of salt in the collard greens....other than that, everything was excellent! The chicken was fried fresh and seasoned to perfection. The baked mac and potato salad was very good. And the yams were cooked just how I like, and not overly sweet.
This place is great! I'm a picky eater but I love the food here. I can't wait to try everything on the menu. Big shout out to the cook. Best soul food I ever had. I'm telling everybody about Jim and Rita's
The food is soooooooo good. Always seasoned great AND if you choose to dine in its BYOB. I would eat here everyday if I could. The owners are nice and professional. Their staff is awesome as well. Come eat at this hidden treasure!!! If not, more for me!!! Oh AND they cater!!!!!
Hello was not happy about the 18% & taxes for 4 people. Have been there several times & this never happened & asked several people came with before & they say the same thing. The food is really good don't know what's going on, but hope all be well in your business.
Excellent food. I love their shrimp linguini. They have reasonable prices. If you get a pasta platter, consider yourself covered for at least two meals- they give you alot! The pasta comes with bread (garlic I think) and a salad. The fish is good as well! The staff is friendly as well. Highly recommended!
Today, we celebrated a participnt's birthday from my job. It was a great success. The food was awesome, amazing and delicious. They give huge portions. They treated everyone like they were number one. Their patience , understanding and customer service was excellent. Jim and Rita's daughter served us and she demonstrated extroidinary customer service. Her service delivery was outstanding and exceptional. Jim alsoa came out from the kitchen to service us as well. They deserve more than (5) stars.
