I had them on my list to try and finally made it a point to stop by.
The restaurant is small and kept its diner look with a bit modern look and feel.
You walk in and seat where you like (I asked as I approached the bar area). Then I was greeted by my server and she was friendly, nice and answered any questions.
Since I was in the mood for pancakes, I ordered the Pancake Breakfast. It sure did hit the spot as I got something sweet and something savory for brunch. The pancakes are not as fluffy but they do pack flavor. I got my eggs scrambled with cheese and bacon. The portion was good and the pancakes are huge, I had to take 1 to go!
A nice find in College Park for breakfast or lunch with a good variety for everyone.

I woke up Sunday morning craving breakfast and decided to find somewhere new I'd never been! My friend lives in the College Park area so I decided to find somewhere near his house and try to get an omelet! I came across College Park cafe and decided to go in and have myself a little brunch. When I walked in I felt very unwelcomed as no one had even said hello to me! When I felt that, i immediately decided to get my food to go. I sat at the bar where an older woman just sat there and stared at me as I asked for a menu. While I proceeded to look over the menu, she quite LITERALLY stood there and watched me wander through it. And not in a she may need help way… more in a... When is she gonna order and get out of here way! In fact about 4 minutes after she gave me the menu as she stood there... She asked are you ready??..I said no i'm not ready yet... and she proceeded to just stand there! I placed an order for an omelet with sausage mozzarella and onions and asked if they could add green peppers. While I waited for my food I noticed that the young and fun waiters behind the bar did not acknowledge my presence whatsoever! In fact I sat there waiting for my food extremely thirsty and had to ask for a glass of water because no drink was ever offered to me. I got my food and was VERY ready to go as I did not feel very welcome. When I got to my friend's house...I opened my Box and noticed that they put green onions instead of green peppers! However this was not that big of a deal to me as I love green onions! The food was delicious I'm not gonna lie! I devoured the omelet the toast and although I wanted hash browns they said they were out and gave me their home fries instead..but they were delicious and perfectly seasoned! I would definitely go back as the food was very good and very close to my friend's house. But I will not go alone and maybe not at that particular time again. I will give it 6/10 🫤
Standard American breakfast and lunch fare with a small dose of Cuban cuisine. Small, comfortable restaurant in College Park. Food and service were good. Fixture on Edgewater Drive for years
Had a great lunch today at CPC. Everything was cooked perfectly. Generous portion size. Nice staff and welcoming environment. Couldn’t ask for anything else. Good local gem that’s been around forever while not sacrificing quality.
This place was an experience. I came here just for the espresso. That did not disappoint, the flavor was great, could have been hotter, but I also like my coffee or espresso to burn my lips, nevertheless, I got my fix.
I was hungry and had time to spare, so I ordered food as well. Turkey Club on Rye. Service time was normal. I was excited when my order came out and I saw the chunks of turkey. Too bad it was dried, would have been ok with some nice turkey breast cold cut. Still ate it all.
So to the ambiance, this character walks in and stands next to me about 3 chairs down, he opens a bag of ships and some fall. As I was settling out and grabbed my bag then turned around, he had just picked up the chips from the floor and ate them. Like nothing!
That kinda made my day! I definitely will be back. 😏. That espresso had me wired by the way!!!!
The food was great. Fantastic, even though we asked for steak medium rare and we recieved it well done, the taste was still great. Our waitress was lovely, but we had to ask for napkins and for utensils. The basics, which is when she informed us that she had no knives. Other than the spotty service, food was great, it was quick. Cute, quirky diner vibes. Prices a bit on the high side. Just as a heads up.

They did a great job keeping the original menu for those College Park Cafe regulars (of which I was one). And then, offering such tasty authentic Cuban food through the Abueltia Kitchen... it is simply genius. I am so happy to have such great tasting, and, authentic Cuban food, so close to home. And the service is so friendly and welcoming. We always feel like part of Abueltia's family.

They ain't lying. Legit best Cuban sandwich I've had. We also tried the tamale which comes with those potatoes sticks on top. Cute touch. Plenty of stuff on the menu to try in the future.
Love this local gem! The wait staff is great! I always go in to see Thomas and the girls on the weekend. Highly recommend the grilled chicken entree or sandwich. Cornbeef hash and biscuits and gravy are also apart of my favorites. Great place to visit if in College Park and even better place to be apart of if you live in the community!
I ordered the egg white delight bowl, I added spinach and mushrooms and I am extremely happy with what arrived. I was skeptical when I opened the package as it looked like it would lack flavor but it did not disappoint. One the most delicious healthy breakfasts I’ve had and enjoyed! Yesterday I ordered the overnight oats and had to come back today to try something new. I will be bragging to everyone I know to try this place out, you won’t be disappointed!
