I recently had a 15-person happy hour at Sam Snead's Tavern, and it was an excellent experience. One person took care of us and he was fast! The place has a fantastic golf-themed ambiance and a collection of memorabilia. The locally-cured oak-grilled food is both unique and delicious. Starting with Sam's appetizers, the menu offers a wide selection, including fresh seafood, ribs, and chicken. The drink options, whether fine wine or cocktails, are impressive. If you prefer something lighter, they have a variety of salads and sandwiches. Don't forget to try one of Sam's homemade desserts to conclude your meal. A great place for golf enthusiasts and food lovers alike!
We came here the other night for the first time and were really impressed. One is the best meals we’ve ever had. The tomato bisque was amazing. It had chunks of tomatoes in it. The prime rib and filet were both delicious. We tried the bread pudding and it was so good! The service was really great too. I definitely recommend and we will be back!
Food was great! We chose an earlier time since we know Valentine’s Day rush happens in the night and definitely loved having the place to ourselves (almost 😅). Food was good for sure definitely recommend eating here. Also I’m not big on steak but it was really good. Side note. The server was awesome ask for Jonathon the new guy.
We just had our company Christmas party and it was great! From coordinating the event with Karin to one of our servers taking pictures for us. The food was great and the service was excellent! Thank you for a great night!
I went on my birthday. One of the busiest days of the year, the day after Thanksgiving. The staff was beyond nice. The food was so good I wanted a to go plate. Save room for dessert. Your meal is complete without dessert.
After years of seeing and knowing about the restaurant for years, finally decided to give a try.
We were welcomed by the hostess and sat right away. We got the option to sit by the booth bar area section, so it was a nice and we could appreciate the decor better. Our server John was nice, friendly and attentive.
The ambiance is that if a steakhouse, since the lighting is dim, with wooden walls and golf memorabilia. It was clean and not too crowded, which made for a better experience.
I decided to order the onion soup and the crabcake app (more breading than crab but tasty) as my dinner with a good glass of Malbec from their happy hour list (pleasantly surprised). My friend ordered the Salmon salad and she did enjoy it.
Menu has various options for everyone and we will be back.
Edit: We forgot to mention an important person in our last review, many nice restaurants that we go to, although great, have bad host service, their service will be amazing, but the host, 180 degrees. Regina, is at the front door every time we have come here, and she quickly finds a place for us every time. Really gives you a welcoming feel into the tavern. End edit.
We had an amazing night here, with Andrew, Brittney, and Eddie. This seems like Sam's A team. We will come back, just for them, and maybe the food!

We had the house salads, Caprese flatbread, and Filet Mignon with mashed potatoes. It was worth every penny spent! The flatbread was excellent and I'd definitely get it again. The filet was seared with a delicious char on the outside (NOT BURNED), was cooked to temp perfectly, and melted in my mouth. It was truly the best filet I've ever had in my 49 years of life. That sear and char gives so much flavor that many other places just can't and/or don't achieve. Their mashed potatoes were amazing and actually rivaled my own, and I know all the tricks for making them light and fluffy, so they REALLY know what they are doing!
The lighting and ambience was wonderful and people are dressed nice, but not overdressed. The service was impeccable and our food timing for every course spot on. I highly recommend this place if you go anywhere near Orlando. We were lucky and our hotel was close by, but I would travel quite some distance to visit this place again!

Great 18th Anniversary dinner. Filets were perfect.
Nadia was an outstanding server. She was very friendly and attentive. She should be recognized for great service.
Jane was also great. We loved talking to her. Jane/Sam Sneads treated us to desserts. Also gave a military discount.
Definitely will be back.
It’s been a while since I’ve been able to get some prime rib. This places serves it up on Friday and Saturday.
I know it’s supposed to be a bit rare, but I felt it was a little too rare. However, it was acceptable and I did finish my steak.
Tender and juicy, a glass of red wine really helped kick up the flavor.
Dessert was tasty as well. Ghirardelli’s chocolate cake was good. I actually think I liked my ice cream more.
My waiter was cool and laid back.
