I had drunken nachos. The portion size is enough for 2 to 3 people. Really delicious food. During Happy Hour beer is between $1.70 and $2.50. The employees were very nice and helpful. The bathroom is tiny.
Gringos 🌮 Tacos were soooo good. Tacos were crispy and satisfying. Not too heavy just right. This location is down town Orlando. Right in the middle of it all 😬. You place your own orders on their Multiple screens so really no wait time. Prices are reasonable.
I'm assuming this is the one we went to because we were leaving the club, either way best tacos I've had in a long time. Had the Double D's, chicken. Absolutely great. Service was good too, we got a laugh and were given samples to try of the meat before making a decision. I wish this place was in Michigan so I could have it again.
Hands-down, the DD is the greatest taco of all time. This is absolutely the best location!!!! Every other one I go to there’s some attitude from the employees but the one at the UCF always has good tacos too. Oh yeah and their chips and queso are as good as anyone else’s too!
The food is amazing but not sure if its actually worth the 1 hour wait and the dismissive staff. Granted, I've only ever been late night so the delay should be expected, munchies and all. I suggest ordering for pick up and give them an extra half hour.
Tacos. Good tacos. I had street tacos. Beef and chicken. Contained no see thankfully. They were delicious. I will eat again. Hot sauce was both hot and sauce. Good stuff. Will sauce again.
Staff seen over worked. They should probably get some help. Service was good anyway.
Need more space. People smell bad. Just sayin
The food was better than the last time I went. Definitely going back
Gringos Locos is legendary amongst the downtown crowd. It was floated as an idea every time my class would go downtown. We went once, but it was in 2015, so I don't remember anything about that trip except that it was delicious.
Fast forward to six years later. I'm now an adult, three years into my career, and I'm on the hunt for the best food in Orlando, always. Well, according to the lovely readers of Orlando Weekly, Gringos Locos has this year's best nachos in town. Nacho making, as we all know, is an art form. Their quality varies greatly depending on how skillfully you build them.
I took a small break from Immerse 2021 and stopped in. There was a substantial, which is a side effect of being amazing, so plan/order ahead if you're wanting to get in and out of this place in a hurry. When I got to the front of the line, I ordered the Drunk Nachos (Tortilla Chips Layered with Everything).
They mean literally everything. Check the photo to see this titan. Chicken, beef, pork, brisket, beans, cheese, onions, tomatoes, olives, lettuce, guac, sour cream, I've honestly lost memory of what all was on this thing. Just be ready to have every nacho itch of yours scratched. AND, the layer effectively. Chips, toppings, chips, toppings, top toppings (like guac and sour cream).
This was a delight. The chips were super crispy, not too thick not too thin. Plenty of each kind of meat. I hope you're sharing this. And it comes at a really great price. This place hasn't suffered inflated prices from an inflated ego.
Overall, I can see why this place has gained legendary status, and I will be coming back, often.
Food quality has decreased as well as the service since now they have implemented eye pads for orders. I like places due to the vibe and the connection you can build with customers but now i feel like that option had been cut out and that I’m there just for one purpose my food. Wish they had the old system.
We ordered Double D chicken tacos, empanadas (chicken, guava and cheese) and free chips and salsa. On Tuesday they give free chips and salsa , they also have selected tacos and burritos for a cheaper price. This is a pretty good taco spot to check out if you are in the area.
