Best Posole In Town. If you like Posole, then you must make Ricky's on Morgan Road a destination spot so you can try their version...hands down, it is the best Posole I've ever had. Ten bucks will get you a huge bowl of the most delicious broth, teeming with hominy and generous portions of meat. Chips and queso are really good, but the regular salsa is a bit timid for my taste. They do however have a spicy version (if you ask) that is well above par. Other menu items I've tried are good as well but not spectacular as is the Posole. All in all this is a great neighborhood restaurant to have on the regular rotation.

Worth the Drive!. To start: The thinnest, crispiest chips done to perfection! The cheese sauce is thick and tasty. Might work on the flavor of the salsa--but not bad. I love Ricky's chile rellenos--I've been to most every major Mexican restaurant in the city and no one does rellenos like Ricky's!! They are never too spicy hot and they are larger than any restaurant I've been to. The beans and rice are excellent, too! My husband had the grilled pork chops (don't remember the name of the dish) and he said they had an exceptional flavor, "tenderly grilled to perfection". And since hubby is a trained chef, I took his word for it. Jimmy, our server actually made us feel we were in a high-class restaurant. The lunch platters of food were surprisingly generous, considering the time of day--a great deal and we had enough left over for dinner, Yum!! The food was slower than usual in getting to us compared to many restaurants, but, think they must have been short-handed. However, I would have gladly waited another 30 minutes for those chile rellenos! The restaurant was clean and we didn't have dirty menus--not sure where that came from on the other review... We used to go to the Memorial location--now closed--and thought that was the only one. We were thrilled to find Ricky's Cafe has three locations! Still a drive, but worth every mile!! Maybe they'll open one near us at Meridian and N.W. 63rd one day...hint, hint:)

Basic and satisfying. Yes, it's ugly. The decor is all stuff from Party Galaxy. It's a truckstop dive with no fountain, tropical plants or other bourgeois distractions. But I live nearby, and Ricky's is a reliable spot for above-average Mexican fare at a very good price. The "Bandera Mexicana," a platter of three enchiladas, fills you up for nine bucks. Taco salads are fresh, delicious and cheap. The service is friendly, quick and inconspicuous. Best of all, unlike teetotaling Alfredo's (Garth Brooks Blvd.), Ricky's will serve you a cerveza. One caveat: If you order takeout by phone, it's best to stick to menu items, because of the language barrier. Other than that, viva Ricky's!

The food was excellent, the service quick and friendly. I would highly recommend this place! If you think Taco Bell is real Mexican cuisine, just wait until you try this!

I really enjoy the food here. I don't know if it's authentic or not, but it tastes great and that's what really matters! Staff , for the most part, is pretty good. Occasionally, they could work on their people skills. There's nothing special about the restaurant itself, is usually clean, just sparsely decorated and being next to truck stops, sometimes the patrons can be suspect.

We love to come to the restaurant, as well as order take out. We've always gotten good, hot food with generous portions. I think the value is good, very reasonable. You usually never wait longer than 15 minutes or so during the dinner hour.

Good eating here. With real salsa (not the tomato paste you get in some places) and some queso. The salsa is a little on the spicy side and the prices are a bit high. I had the lunch enchilada plate and was pleased with it and it was only give dollars. They use corn tortillas to make their enchiladas and I am a fan of that. The other people eating with me all enjoyed their food. I can recommend this place based on quality, atmosphere, and staff.

I had their cheeseburger, fries, and they put in chips, salsa and cheese, sauce on the side. It was around 8$, and probably the best burger I've ever had! If a Mexican Restaurant can make a burger that good, their Mexican food must be delicious too, so looking forward to going back. Anyways, their salsa was hot! But you could tell the tomato they added was fresh by the taste, so kind of a chill-hot. Their cheeseburger is messy! But so worth it. The fries were the old fashioned thick fries, very good too! How come we Americans need to goto a Mexican restaurant for good tasting American food anyways? Doesn't matter, at least somebody is keeping the spirit alive!

Good food. People could be a little more friendly. But as Sheri Taylor thinks truck drivers are "suspect" maybe my review is not important. I hope Sheri doesn't need anything that "suspect" truck drivers bring for her snobby self to buy or use.

Had my dinner here for the first time in nine years I been passing this place. Food was excellent and the waiter was on his job. Just a minor side note ,clean the left over food out of the seats. Everything else was spot on keep it up.

When the lady owner is there.....customer service sucks!!!!! Food is good, some what better than average. Menudo is better here than in Florida. In Florida, they don't add any hominy. Mexico and Colorado still have the best menudo, best Mexican food. I'm a truck driver and avid traveler. I have ate here about 4 or 5 times.

This lil place has no outside appeal but the food makes up for it. I had the flauta plate and it was great. The flautas are packed with meat real thick and it comes with rice, beans, pico de gallo, lil bit of sour cream n guacamole I recommend if u want a bite of good Mexican food go here. Also the atmosphere is quiet but in a good way.
