I heard about this place for a while but never visited until now. We sat at the bar while waiting for friends to show up. The person preparing the oysters gave us some samples and recommendations. It was awesome to hear about the different types of oysters to choose from! The staff continued to be awesome at our table. The dinner was delicious! Cocktails were outstanding! We will definitely be back in the future!
🦪 Great food, incredible drinks, cozy atmosphere. Their seafood is flown in daily so it’s always fresh.
✨ The Drake sets the bar high for fine dining in Oklahoma City.
📍Located in the popular Uptown 23rd District, right on 23rd street, it’s a great spot for date night or a night out on the town with friends.
🍰 Don’t sleep on the lemon cloud pie!
The Drake is a wonderful seafood restaurant in Oklahoma City. They have a rotating oyster list available to enjoy along with delicious fish and land options. The atmosphere is relaxed and the staff is friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about menu items. 3rd time back and it is always great.
Mackenzie Gage and Brittany are awesome at the Drake. I have traveled all over top 20 meal of my life. Fresh oysters, awesome burgers, and the onion dip and house chips are over the top. These guys mean it when they say extreme hospitality. Best kept secret in OKC. The word deserves to get out.
It’s hard to describe the vibes inside, but we absolutely loved them. Another place you MUST have a reservation for unless you want to try your luck at the bar (of which I’ve heard they have amazing happy hour, with $6 cocktails and $2 oysters).
Our waitress was on top of things all night. We started off with the crab cake which was absolutely delectable and some cocktails. We split the lobster roll and a side of broccolini. Both had excellent flavor but if you’re really hungry this might not have been enough food. Finished the night off with a slice of Lemon Cloud pie, to be honest this was a little left to desired, but that could just be personal preference. I prefer my pies to be very tart, and this was extremely mellow and tasted much more creamy than lemony.
My new favorite spot. Moved here from the PNW a few months ago and I can safely say the Drake has the best oysters in town and I’ve looked all over. Not only is the seafood top notch, but the burger and the fried chicken are freaking amazing! Great staff, awesome atmosphere, and very generous happy hour. House cocktails are epic and half off at happy hour. The Want No Shrub cocktail is my favorite in the menu so far.
We really enjoyed the service and atmosphere. Ashley took great care of us and made great recommendations. The menu is full of awesome dishes.
We had the sweetest waitress. She encouraged us to try oysters and I really liked them. My bf got the Short rib pasta and was surprised at how tender and good, his plate tasted. Highly recommend🤎
It's so hard to find good fresh seafood in a landlocked state but the Drake delivers. The oysters were great, the scallops were grilled perfectly and, for those who prefer their seafood well done, the fried seafood platter was delicious too! We had the chocolate hush puppies for dessert, which were almost too rich. Luckily they are served with a glass of milk! I will definitely be going back again for their happy hour specials.
The food was great. We went in at 1:00pm on a Tuesday and sat at the bar. We started off with 15 oysters since it was $2 oysters at that time. Great selection of oysters. The sauces were not very good. I am more of a traditional oyster eater, preferring lemon juice, Tabasco, horseradish, and cocktail sauce. I requested the traditional set up with crackers. Then we ordered the lobster role and shared it with my girlfriend. It came with shoestring French fries. It was GREAT.
