Some of the best customer service I have ever received. Space is small so I don't recommend a group larger than six people, though I'm sure they would do what they could if you did. Reservations are a must, this place gets busy and it's worth the wait.
The food was well presented and fresh, service was prompt and the staff extremely friendly but not obtrusive. Drinks were also very nice and their wine list was enjoyable as well. Looking forward to another chance to dine here.
We stumbled upon this quaint little place unexpectedly. We were looking for something With character and this place has it! The service was the best I’ve had in years!! Several people came over to ensure our experience was satisfactory. The drinks and food were unique and delicious- cannot wait to return!!
The cocktails and food are so good. Loved chatting with the bartenders. Outdoor seating during the summer is a bonus.
had a blast here! the chicken was just heavenly. highly highly recommended.
one caveat: no espresso
Inventive, exquisitely prepared entrees in a bright and welcoming atmosphere. I was blown away by their chicken dish and the eggplant dish was amazing as well. The food more than makes up for the inconsistency in service - I think we experienced a shift change and were forgotten. No matter (this time) , we’ll be back!
This was a great meal. The food and service were top notch and the atmosphere comfortable and laid back.
This places is amazing. My boyfriend and I stumbled upon this gem after a fundraiser in the area. Everything was so good. The staff- top notch. The food (Lamb shank, gnoochi& beignets)- scrumdiddlyumptious perfection. The drinks- Devine. And if your a whiskey lover, they have an excellent selection! Even though it's an hour away from where we live, we'd definitely will be going back.
What a fantastic dining experience! Great menu, with a feed me option, which was a fabulous selection of items both on and off the menu. The service was attentive & knowledgeable, and personable too. It was very full, which was great to see on a Monday. Local & seasonal produce. Selection of wine is small but very well curated. Cocktails were on point.

Chef-owner David Punch, formerly of Ten Tables Cambridge, joined by Lydia Reichert, most recently a sous chef at Craigie on Main, make wonderfully creative use of fresh ingredients in deceptively simple preparations. Yet for all of its excellence, the restaurant is casual, unfussy, and friendly.
This is my wife's and mine favorite restaurant in all of Newton and maybe even MA. The food is unique, creative, and delicious. My main gripe is sometimes I'll really love a new dish but know that it will be rotated out in a few weeks. I have never had a bad meal here and even dishes that I wouldn't normally expect to enjoy have been amazing. The seasonal dishes always match and I swear one time I said to my wife, "This tastes like summer" which she agreed after trying my dish.
Their chicken dishes are a highlight to me. I think most good restaurants will have a good steak, but great chicken dishes that aren't generic are hard to find. They somehow make the meat moist but keep the skin crunchy. It's a texture I have never had anywhere else.
They have small pasta dishes as starters that I swear are better than 90% of dedicated pasta dishes at other restaurants. I especially like the seafood based ones.
Oh and their beignets are basically the only dish that's always available. It's very good and my wife won't allow me to try any other dessert, so I have no idea if their other desserts are good. I assume they are.
