I'm usually not one to give five stars, unless I think they deserve it. They do! It's off of st Charles, kind of hidden, but boy oh boy is it a gem! It's a bar and a grill. I didn't drink, I just had food. It was luckily by my hotel, the Hampton. My dad got the catfish and some Mac and cheese. They were to die for. I got the 12 oz steak for $18. Also really good. The bread pudding dessert was even delicious! Definitely give them a try! The owner will come up and talk to you. We went there @ 5 pm on a Friday night and he said evening is usually slow. There weren't that many people there, and it's a shame!
Place is huge, you could hold three parties in there and they'd never interfere with each other. There's tons of beer on tap upstairs and down. Oysters were caught the day before, the soft shell crab melted in my mouth, shrimp and grits are probably the best uptown. I generally avoid nachos, because I'm an adult and I like properly prepared food. If I wanted kid food I'd go to Taco Bell. But the nachos at Robin's Wharf are made of fresh won tons, topped with bacon, fire melted cheese, shrimp and herbs and did I mention it was fresh. The food at Robin's Wharf is better than most and rivals Jack Dempsey's, New Orleans Seafood, Yeagers or any other local staple. Just go there and try it all. If you don't like it, you don't like good food.'
The food was great, we got veggie pasta, crab cakes, bufflo chicken wrap and chiken pesto pasta. The service was really confusing on the day we went due to Mardi Gras. Despite the service, still gve 5 stars since it was the first Mardi Gras for this new resturant. Hopfully they improve there set up next year.
OMG!! My family and I were in New Orleans on Saturday, October, 21, 2017 to visit a family member, who is a patient at Touro Hospital and upon leaving we were trying to decide on a place to dine. However, no one could agree on anything and that’s when I asked the Security Guard at the front dexk and he recommended Robins Wharf. Wow!!, we hit pay dirt!! Everything that everyone ordered was superb!! From the fried oysters/shrimp platter; fried fish/fried shrimp platter, the pasta and chicken; spinach dip, and the cheese burger my husband ordered, etc. I could go on and on. You get the just of where I’m coming from!! The restaurant had only been open since that Tuesday! Oh, before I forget!! The “Bathrooms Were Emaculate}!!
An awesome place to eat! Fun, family friendly environment with an amazing staff and top notch food! The owner will even come sit and chat! Definitely a hidden gem in NOLA!
