Fast service, great coffee, laid back atmosphere with tables by the windows to people watch, and a quick treat if you need a pick me up. Beats standing in the Starbucks line any day
Most reviews are comparing to Starbucks or the Starbucks of New Orleans when in reality it really isn't like those main franchises at all. I think it has its own feel for sure. We came into this shop when it suddenly was raining on us in the quarter. We were walking and the forecast was nice and sunny but the weather changed instantly. So we hung out in this shop. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I'm sure they deal with their share of tourists.
We tried their seasonal drinks and I was impressed for sure. We also bought a Pecan flavored coffee and brought it home. We have been using it with our french press at home and man its so good. Once the rain stopped we took off. We will come back for sure next time were in town.
Great staff! Even though is like only 2 people serving usually, they keep up with the line and serve you respectfully with out rushing.
That counts for me.
I work next door to them, and when I can I get me a white hot chocolate and cinnamon roll.
I highly suggest those 2 things.
I have been visiting on business this week. Great coffee. Super friendly staff. After just two trips in I became a regular and they knew and started my order as soon as i walked in. See you when I am back in town this November.
I absolutely adored the customer service at the PJ's Coffee shop on Canal st. I was able to sample a few frozen coffees. I choose the s'more frozen coffee blend. I was fulfilled with that choice and people watching as I sat in the window seat of the coffee shop. Two thumbs up for a morning chill spot.
This is an awesome PJ's. I have been visiting regularly since opening about 2 years ago or so. Lucus (Luke) plays a variety of music, as well as the baristas. I enjoy being able to relax with my coffee. The only drawback is right now there's no WI-FI connection directly inside that they own there. They are planning to instal it soon. For now you have to try to connect to a nearby network or bring an internet card from a wireless carrier. During the morning and during special events it is very busy in there. The best time to swing in for a coffee if time is short is in the afternoon. They can be more sociable too when they are calmer and not passing coffee rapidly. I love this PJ's!

Service was quick and friendly on a Sunday morning with few patrons. Wife said the roast was really good and price is comparable to Starbucks.
So thankful for a coffee shop that is not SB! Coffee and drink selection was great and the staff were all very friendly. Wish we had a PJs where we live.
I just had their Chai Tea Latte and it is hands down the best I've ever had. I has a really great taste without an after taste. I highly recommend.
