Pleasant atmosphere with homestyle cooking and a very reasonable price. For less than $15 coworker and I had a three course meal and a drink. Wait staff was fvery friendly and we just missed breakfast so we ordered off the lunch menu. Both meals were well cooked. I had the Chicken Fried Chicken (CFC) and he had the country fried steak. Both had the white pepper gravel and the corn bits were good as well. Only downside is that our meal was fried. Too much to clean the plate but we managed. Highly recommended, its not fast food, so sit back and relax while you wait a few minutes longer to receive you meal. Thanks for reading, literally, and if this review helps give a thumbs up!
Not a huge menu. I had a grilled chicken sandwich with green beans. My husband had grilled chicken sandwich with fries. The sandwiches were good, green beans were really good and fries were average. Our server was very nice, it's a mom and pop diner and I love supporting locally owned businesses
Very Delicious harsh brown casserole and grits. I had the french toast it was just ok, I would have preferred it made with Texas Toast. Also their coffee could use some improvement. Our server David was great. This place felt like a small town restaurant that you would eat at back home. I will defiantly being going back.
Great service and friendly staff! My food was served fresh and hot. This is a nice cozy place to grab some southern food at a good price! Don't forget dessert... 😘
Everything was great all the way down to the service! Great place for southern style food! Makes me think of home!
Because of the food and service I used to be a regular at this place and ate there several times a month. The food isn't gourmet, fine dining sort of stuff. Instead, it's just delicious home cooking, very filling and comforting. The staff tends to be young people on their first jobs, at least in the evenings, so they sometimes slip up, but that just adds to the charm for me because they usually try so hard to get it right. It makes me remember my first job in a restaurant and all of the times I did the same things.
My roommate recommends the fried steak. She hardly eats anything else. I'm more adventurous. I love their pot roast and catfish, among other things. We both agree that you should never pass up the cowboy, or baked, beans. I could live on those things. And definitely save room for dessert. They have a nice selection of pies and banana pudding.
I'm sure you're wondering why I said I used to be a regular there. They have very reasonable prices, but everything else in Nashville has gotten so expensive that it makes it difficult for me to be able to afford something even as affordable as this. I recommend them highly!
Great place for good hone cooked meal with a smile..
I really like this restaurant have been going here the past six years. The food is most of the time very good. The service is always great and they are always very quick to get food out. One of my all around favorite meals is chicken fried chicken and brown gravy. It used to always be amazing. The past three or four times I have gotten this meal it has been just ok. Not as great as it used to be. That is why I rated 4/5. The sides on the other hand have never changed and they are always amazing.
We have been going here for years and have seen it go through various seasons, just like life. Now is the best it has ever been! The portions are great. LOVE their vegetables! Can't beat their catfish and the spaghetti on Friday is always a treat. You won't go away hungry!
The food was fantastic! chicken fried chicken and chicken fried steak were out of this world. also the cornbread and fudge pie were to die for. The server Tyler was very attentive and quick. Food was served in a faster than expected pace and you can not get a better deal for this price. Would highly recommend to all.
