Great fun to dress up and have a great 1920's experience of good food and entertainment. Perfect for our party of 10, and we loved Gary the Magician and our waiter Mike. Service was impeccable and this venue does not disappoint if you want to dine and play along!
Our 6th anniversary was a great one spent here! Love the walk down in to the basement, feels like you are going to a secret club🫢 the decor was amazing and atmosphere was dark and lovely.The ladies bathroom has an adorable selfie spot! Neat mirror spooky! Our sever was excellent!!!! Started with a starry crown one of the most delicious cocktails I’ve ever had!The Australian wagyu with fois de gras butter was amazing, lobster Mac n cheese was bomb. I loved the restaurant is also a museum of magic and they have antique framed playing cards! The outside patio is super nice with waterfall and heated.I love how they enforce a strict dress code !! The magic theater of Carter the great is a gem… the show itself was fun and entertaining! Loved every moment spent there❤️
We booked this restaurant for our 6th anniversary and it did not disappoint! The walk down to the basement was beautiful and like going to a secret speakeasy. The lighting was absolutely gorgeous. We were given a quick tour of the restaurant before being seated. Once seated, our server came over and gave us the run down about the menu. We ordered a a pair of cocktails called starry crown. Then ordered the appetizer, burrata which was amazing. It was then followed up by 2 Australian Wagyu Filets with fois de gras butter. We also had a side of lobster Mac N Cheese which was out of this world. We also had a splendid bottle of pinot Noir with our steak dinner. We couldn’t have asked for a better server, food, and experience. After we ate, we found ourselves on the beautiful patio before heading to the Carter the Great theater. The magic show lasted about 30 minutes. Overall I would give this restaurant a 10 out of 10!! Thanks again for an amazing night!
Food was good, but the ambiance of this place is what truly makes it 5 star in my opinion! It's remarkable. Beautiful decor, cards from centuries ago on display here to see. There's a Harry Potter section and a beautiful patio with fountain for photos. There's a magic show after dinner which was really cool. The card tricks and show are mind blowing! I'd definitely come back just for that.
We had the best time at House of Cards! Brandon was an incredible waiter and really rolled out the red carpet for us. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal, and the magic was unbelievable! The atmosphere was impeccable and included amazing relics and beautiful decor. We could not have had a better time and are so thankful to the staff for such an incredible experience.
EXCELLENT experience. From secretly being escorted to the entrance, this was so much fun! I wanted to take pictures of everything but pictures aren’t allowed. I ordered the pork chop and it was wonderful and plenty of food. My husband ordered the filet and said it was melt in your mouth wonderful. After dinner, we had time to sit with a table magician up close. His name was Jason and he was AMAZING. We were 2 feet from him and were blown away. From there we were taken into a small intimate theater for a magic show with Scott. It was also very entertaining! We were there for almost 3 hours and enjoyed every minute of it. We came from Arkansas to go to House of Cards and would do it again!
Really fun night at the Johnny cash museum with a speak easy type restaurant- House of Cards in the lower level with amazing food and drinks! This place was top notch with a cocktail attire dress code and and no photography rule. You do get a free group photo which they print and send home with you (each guest gets one). After dinner you attend magic shows that were were jaw dropping -long one 45 mins and then mini shows about 20 mins..soo worth it! Def should make this a bucket list item for your next Nashville trip.
We even had a person in our party break their shoes on the way to the restaurant and they gave her an extra pair of shoes for the night-which she was able to just take home with her! So nice, like who does that, right ?!
This place was super fun! We are Nashville locals and I would recommend to all visitors and locals. The vibe here is very speakeasy and the décor was very fun. I loved the dress code and that no photos were allowed inside. This makes the experience seem very elevated. There was a photographer that was taking complimentary photos which was very nice. Menu is really good, nothing super exceptional though. Standard steak and side options. I would have liked to see more appetizer options. You are required to purchase an entrée to get a ticket to the magic show. We did a 5:30PM reservation and between dinner and seeing all the magicians, we didn't leave until 8:30PM. This is definitely a pricy experience, but well worth it for a special occasion in my opinion!
Food was pretty good and if it was lacking the experience made up for it. The magicians performance after dinner in the theatre was awesome and we enjoyed some drinks afterward and watched some magicians at the tables by the bar. Worth the $ for sure
Such a unique place! The magic blows my mind every time. Depending on who the headliner is for the night, honestly, I think you can skip the dinner and get an app and drinks and see the floor magic. The dinner was good but nothing extraordinary. Be sure to dress nicely!
A great experience! Like everyone else is saying, drinks are a bit pricey so i would recommend having one or two before coming here if you plan on drinking the whole night. Steaks were good but have to pay to add anything to it (butter, onions, etc.) Magic show and magicians were extremely fun and entertaining. I love that they include the audience in their tricks. Awesome patio out back to hang out on.
