Great (little) pub to stop in for lunch. It’s basically a small house size. Menu has some excellent options and a specials board. I got the fried pickles which were soooo good! Standard burger and a philly steak sandwich. Meals were decent sizes.
Wait staff were very friendly and accommodating. Vibe was chilled and relaxed and everyone seemed to be having a great time. Worth a stop in!

Deserves a visit.....
This was the only place open after 9pm on the evening that we arrived in Mendecino, CA. So we gave it a try, or our other options were to go to bed hungry or drive south for a long time.... However, I'm happy to say it was a little better than ok.
It's basically an Irish Pub which serves a full dinner menu late. Menu has your typical items that a pub menu would. Burgers, sandwiches and etc.... There is something for everyone. Daily specials are also very nice.
We tried the cordon bleu balls app off the daily specials menu (deep fried ham and Swiss Panko crusted balls with ranch and honey must dipping sauces) - pretty good actually.
I ordered Chicken Fried Steak with Mash Pots and Veggies for my main meal and my date got the Ham and Swiss grilled sandwich and fries, both of which hit the spot for our hungry bellies. Both of these were on the specials menu.
If you like beer, they have a great selection of tap or bottled beers.
*ill be honest though, service is hit or miss, we stopped in 2 more times after our first night and no real complaints but I guess that depends on who you ask.
(Don't let this next paragraph stop you from coming in)
We stopped in for a carry out order on a different night and were promptly served. My only complaint is that, the bartender pretty much ignored us, my drink was empty for 10 min and I was trying to get her attention every time she walked by but she wouldn't give us eye contact, yet I could see her look at the empty glass every time. So finally my bf flagged her down, and asked for a Bloody Mary for me for my second drink and (yes I know it's a brunch drink but I was craving one) the bartender was obviously annoyed that she had to make one and it carried over into the drink she made, which was terrible, but the chicken pot pie was good.
And we returned on St Patty Day for some drinks, and why not....it is the only Irish Bar in town...and it's a cute place....
Since there weren't any bar seats, we sat at one of the tables and I'm actually glad, cuz the same bartender was working who isn't very friendly to out of town fokes or maybe it's to younger couples.... Anyway, our server (cute young girl) was very attentive and very friendly.
I recommend everyone to stop in either for a drink or food, it's worth it. For a second you forget that you are in Mendocino CA and think you are on east coast or Midwest.

Nice little Pub!. Cozy little place. Seems like a local hangout, but I doubt anyone in the bar is a real local. Locals will know of a cheaper bar.
I had a "liquid" diner, couple Bulleit Bourbons on ice. Too much snacking that afternoon. My wife ordered the fish tacos, she said "Good flavor - more of a Mexican flare than usual fish tacos. Not particularly "blackend"". She is a fish taco expert if I ever met one.
Nice little place, little pricey in my opinion, my drinks were $8 each. I would give this place 4 of 5.
We found this place on the suggestion of a friend, and I am very glad we stopped by.
The lamb burger is absolutely brilliant!
A couple of tips though 1) it's a pub...you can't take your kids 2) cash only, but there is an ATM in site. 3) the lamb burger rocks

Food was great, but I could've done without having to listen to the bartender talk about how much he loves porn... (It's a small dive so you hear basically everything everyone says!)
So a termite walks into a bar and asks, "Is the bar tender here?"
Pattersons is an Irish bar with American bar food that is a cut above your average. I had the tri tip sandwich with green salad. The salad was the best part of that combination. A beauty variety of mixed greens with just enough dressing to be tasted instead of swimming in dressing like you find at so many places.
My wife had the grilled shrimp with peanut sauce. Both the tri tip and the shrimp were adequate.
The blueberry cobbler was good but on the small side
Service was quick and polite. Decor and ambiance were bar like.
Nothing really special, but You could do a lot worse.
Nice casual restaurant. We ate outside. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere with heaters to keep us warm. The steak salad was excellent and a healthy option. The cold slaw was the best my brother ever had. The clam chowder was very good and we had to laugh at sign outside.. see photo. Several of us tried the blackened fish sandwich and thought it was very good. Very reasonable priced.
Our party of four had a great dinner. The wait staff seemed overworked but they handled it very well. Even though they were crazy busy they were friendly and attentive. They food was fresh tasting and very good. They blackened cod sandwiches were great. I would definitely go back.
The best item we ordered was the French Dip! It had lots of meat and the au jus was perfect and all piping hot. The B.L.A.T. was pretty good, but I would've liked the bread toasted a bit more and the fixings evenly applied (not a big pile of tomato on one side and all the avocado in another spot). The cheesesteak tasted decent but seemed so skimpy in the meat, especially compared to the French Dip. Sweet potato fries were good, Cajun fries needed to be tossed in the seasoning and not just have it sprinked in one pile on top, and my husband liked the coleslaw.
The service was a bit slow, bit we had arrived at the end of Sunday brunch so it was understandable. I would have loved to sit outside with our pup but the only open tables were inside.
Nice, warm, and darkly lit pub with a great selection of on-tap beers and some fine fried foods. I haven't checked out the outdoor patio, but it looks like a nice option.
Lovely pub/cafe with lots of character. There's a great, cosy patio with ample seating. The staff is really friendly and accommodating; the food is good. I'd definitely come here again.
We went here for dinner and drinks during our time in lovely Mendocino. Their outdoor garden seating was super nice, and the indoors pub setting is cosy and fun. Our server, Lis was wonderful at service and recommendations. They have a fantastic sandwich menu and a great selection of beers on tap. Dont worry about Pepe, the skunk. Hes totally harmless. Highly recommended while in Mendocino :)
Food was great. Has vegan options. Clam chowder is def not the worst I've ever had. Live music was questionable.
What a great meal. I have the French dip and my wife had the cod tacos which were blackened. The French dip was one of my favorites ever. Great service and the outdoor patio is stunning. Highly recommended! Second time here and still great 😊. Liz was our server and she was awesome. Katy says thanks 😊
Great welcoming Irish style pub and grub in the heart of Mendicino. Friendly service and good food in monstrously large portions!
It's a fun place to have lunch. We ate inside and loved the decor. The staff were great. The food was good. I would definitely go back.
