Catalina jazz club is probably the best small/medium club in the L.A. area to listen to top jazz artists. Practically every seat, with the exception of a couple of booths, is good. The house sound system is excellent. The sound engineer is on his job. They have some good eats.
This was my very first time there and I enjoyed it. I am very picky when it comes to food and I loved the seafood pasta. The alcoholic beverages to me fit into the location. I got my drinks straight from the bar and it was nicely done, plus the bar tender was very nice. The music was lovely and the servers were fast and friendly and made sure we were taking care of. To me it's a treat and I will definitely go back.
We had a great concert with Billy Vera and the Beaters. This is a great venue for his and such bands.
It's tricky to get into, you have to enter the parking behind the club off Sunset, then into the building. The entrance is just inside the exterior doors, a hard right.
The food is excellent, so with shows is a good choice if you're going light on drinks.

Went first Cuban Christmas jazz concert. The band was very good, the music was very loud, the atmosphere was very nice, the food food was good (pricey for what you get, but not bad). The deserts were very, very good. We got one of each, and none were disappointing. The service was slow as they are short handed, like everyone else, I am sure. The music was too loud for me, but it was good, Playlist was good and kept the room jumping most of the night. They have a parking lot, but it is not big enough for the location and filled up fast. 8 bucks to park there, so it's not too expensive. The jazz club is on the ground floor of an office building, so it is easy to drive by it if you miss the sign.
Overall, this is a good place to go, eat, drink, and spend a few hours listening to good music if the band is right. Expect to spend some time and some cash there, and you should enjoy the experience.
We went to see Madonna's dancers, Niki Harris and Donna de Lory. Very inspirational duo, who sang and performed their original songs. They had a lot of fans and kept them entertained with good stories about their past and their experiences with writing songs. I've never seen them before but I was pleased to have seen them. Very motivating ladies.
The staff is incredible especially Frank our server and Manny the manager. Catalina was so nice and elegant. The promoter Chris Isakson was so friendly and attentive. I'm will be returning for sure. The artists Niki and Donna were amazing and their music stirred up emotions in me that I wasn't prepared to sop up with tissue # crybaby #great time!! Thank you Jesse Lucero for making this such a fun night!
Overall The atmosphere is great. Service is very slow, they get busy all at the same time, decent food, don't expect a 5 star meal, have dinner elsewhere. Dinner for two, ticks for a show will set you back a few hundred bucks. Drinks are good.

As a wellness coach, I believe that life is meant to be enjoyed to the fullest. My girlfriend surprised me with tickets to go see Andy Garcia and his band. The venue is great. Our view was constructed by a beam, however, it was a great time.
It was my Birthday Present 🎁 from my hubby. Fantastic experience! This magic Jazz kingdom has spectacular performances, great food, outstanding service and magical, fun atmosphere!
Great LA jazz club with wonderful local and touring performers. Definitely go early for a good seat near the front of the stage and to get your dinner and drink order in. Seats were comfortable and servers were attentive. Definitely not a cheap night out, but it’s fun to dress up and splurge a little sometimes! Love that the venue is relatively small so you get that nice intimate feeling.
An excellent venue for intimate concerts. I have been here for several shows and I have been satisfied every time. But every time I've come here, the service by the waiters is very disjoint. I see them right down our orders but then our food and drinks come out late or they forgotten what we've ordered. After being open for years and years and years, you think they'd have a system by now.
Performance by Ms Elaine Gibbs was awesome. A very enjoyable evening, would reccomend this show to anyone who wants to be entertained with timeless grown-up music.
