Apparently, I have been living under a rock... OMG was this place off the charts amazing! Great staff, cool vibe, and the pizza... WOW. Absolutely worth the wait to get in, worth the wait for the deep dish!
We went to Angelo’s after reading that is was one of the best pizza places in Ohio and even the nation in one publication that I saw online. With that expectation in mind, Angelo’s didn’t quite live up to all of the hype. The pizza was good but the sauce didn’t have much flavor in my opinion. The deep dish was kind of nostalgic for me in a way, because it tasted kind of like the way I remember pizza huts deep dish tasting like in the 90s. We tried the original crust margherita pizza and had a deep dish pepperoni pizza. We were looking forward to having their boscoe stick appetizer since that is a throwback to our childhoods as well, but they were out of those when we went. We got the breadsticks instead which came with a cup of marinara sauce and a cup of butter sauce. The breadsticks were a little bit dry and just ok in terms of flavor. We will likely give Angelo’s another chance at sometime in the future, but as for now we will keep trying new places in Northeast Ohio/Cleveland.
Awesome food! GREAT atmosphere! Waitress was wonderful in helping us bei g our first time! Definitely recommend!!
Most delicious pizza I e eaten so far in my life. Perfect thickness to their pizza, generous amount of pizza sauce, and delicious crust.
After dining at 𝐀𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐨’𝐬 𝐏𝐢𝐳𝐳𝐚 🍕 3x, I’ve realized why they are one of the more famous independent pizzerias in the country. The Acapulco bbq pizza 🍕 was crispy and delicious as hell, GOD what a good pizza. The wings 🍗 were a bit stunted but that sweet Thai chili sauce made them enjoyable. I also dug into some caprese salad 🥗 so my meal was unforgettable to say the least. GREAT eats!!
The pizzas and wings are excellent and among the best in the Cleveland area. Service is great, unless it is extremely busy (frequent). Very urbane atmosphere, sidewalk dining, diverse clientele and crowded when busy.
4 -7 Happy Hour specials are a good deal but $10 for bagged iceberg is
disgraceful. You can and should do better.
The food was terrific and the service was top-notch! I ate outside to enjoy the Lakewood ambience on Madison on this sultry day. The spinach dip was amazing, the blueberry cider tea beer was fantastic and the super deluxe pizza was excellent! Though it was a little more work for her with her inner-restaurant work, Sandra made the dining experience even better with how personable she was. Angelo's of Lakewood truly has the best pizza in Lakewood (so far!) I highly recommend this restaurant!
Update: it is STILL good! This visit saw me ordering their Meat Lover Deep Dish pizza along with a Caesar's salad. Once again, Angelo's Pizza has demonstrated why they are Lakewood's best pizza. Thanks, Hayleigh, for your "Gold 🌟" service on this visit!
