Heavenly bakery with small cafe tables, though primarily a take out shop. The baked goods range from breads, danish, coffee cakes, breakfast breads to dessert tart, pastries and confections. It was so delicious that we went two days in a row out of three.
Local resident. Great pastry! Light, fluffy and tasty! I love it! Cinnamon rolls with raisins are my favorite here! A great place for early morning coffee with freshly made danish pastry is great! The owner is so cool too, down to earth and interesting to talk to. When I think of Denver or Colorado I immediately think of this place.
Simply phenomenal!. This place is really just amazing! Delicious even if you don't have a sweet tooth. I can't think of anywhere else in Colorado where you can find pastries and bread this delicious. Skip the whole foods down the street if you want to buy good, home made bread and just come here, you won't be disappointed. If they had espresso, I would never leave.
So good that I was tempted to dislike it to keep people away
In Love. After finding them at the farmers' market....we also went to their store and ate more pastries.
Loved everything.
We love their croissants and almond horns and their almond pastries. They have good breads and the owner is a character from...Denmark! Great village bakery.
Huge, buttery crossaoints to go with dinner! Yum....
Just got back from a fabulous trip to Denmark not too long ago and finding this little gem in the random middle of Denver on my most recent trip here was the best surprise EVER!!!!
Asked the owner's son what his favorite ones were in the showcase and of course had to grab one of each that he recommended. Guys, literally, every piece of pastry and cookie in that bakery box was delicious and worth every calorie consumed. I liked that it was none of the baked goods were not American style crazy sweet but just sweet enough like the Danes do it!

A few weeks ago my brother surprised the family with a half dozen white boxes from Taste of Denmark at brunch. None of the rest of us had ever heard of this bakery before, but boy were we in for a treat! We decided to cut up the pastries so we could sample more. Every single thing I tried was mouthwatering and delicious. I was especially impressed by their custard filling as well as the whipped cream because both were REAL- no cheap corner cutting here! The fruit filled danishes were also to die for. We ended up with left over pastry that we ate for breakfast 2 days later and it held up remarkably well. Of course it was best on day one but most places’ pastry is rough by the next day.
Yesterday morning my husband and I packed our family up early (we’d heard Taste of Denmark can get super busy and have long lines) and picked up a box of treats which we took across the street to Kendrick Lake Park for a chilly breakfast picnic. Once again, everything was amazing- particularly the Napoleon 😋.
Only two negatives to this place:
1. They’re a bit of a drive from my house
2. They’re totally spoiled pastries from anywhere else for us!!
Probably thee best Napoleon I have ever eaten. The apricot cookies were divine, and I got the cinnamon loaf for my son, which was tasty. Because it’s a “loaf”, and not a roll, not as soft as I’m used to, but maybe I should warm it up a little. Still very good. Very busy bakery, will definitely go again!
Decided to try this place after a long time. Very cute shop. The staff was very helpful. Went today(Saturday) and it was very busy. They only allow 7 people at a time in the store because of Covid. They have outside seating you can use. We got their biggest box and went a bit crazy lol. Ordered 9 different pastries to try. They were all tasty. They are big in size. Not miniature pastry. Very good size to share. Definitely recommend this place to anyone.
I drove to Taste of Denmark bakery from Castle Pines because my son’s class has to bring in food for the class tomorrow from a country their ancestors came from. My side comes from Denmark so I was excited to find a place with authentic Danish food. When I got there, it was pretty busy which tells you a lot already. The younger man who helped me was so nice and explained to me what everything was and what was in the pastries. I got some different things for my sons class and a couple of cream puffs for my family. I ate the cream puff with the custard, cream and raspberry. It was so amazing I literally don’t think I have ever tasted a better dessert food in my life. Unbelievably delicious. We don’t live very close but I can’t wait to come back and bring the rest of my family! I’m a pretty critical person and rarely leave reviews but I’m beyond impressed by this place!
Second time going here and wasn't expecting them to be as busy as they were at 11am! Really great staff. The only down side was if they don't sell the stickers they shouldn't complain that they cost money, it's sorta like I'm promoting their business.. sorta. I also could of went to Starbucks, or great harvest bread down the street, I'll leave my 5 stars for now. Have great day. Thanks for reading my review.
My experience here was beyond words. I always dig a good bakery, and this one, I must say, was excellent!! I have not come across a bakery this good in the west of America till now. We ordered a bunch of items, and everything tasted heavenly. And not to forget the prices were super pocket friendly too.
I have heard the legends for years and finally was able to make a trip. Ordered the lemon strudel (seasonal) and it was EXCELLENT. The amount of options is pretty amazing as well. Can’t wait to go back!
