We took my father in law on a road trip back in July of this year. We were really looking for a great diner for breakfast. My father in law just mentioned this past Sunday that the bisquits and gravy was the best he had ever eaten. Everything we ordered was hot and delicious. Only a few miles off the interstate but well worth it. Everyone was friendly and the restaurant was super cute. Yummy great diner
Went today and the food was excellent, and the value is unbeatable. The portion sizes are very generous and the food was good at a very affordable price, best value I have seen for breakfast in Lafayette.
This little place downtown serves up some tasty breakfast at great prices.
We came during a Farmer's Market day and parking downtown was a bit hard to find.
I tried the Western Omelette and it was great. The Coney Tenderloin, however, was rather flavorless and kind of a disappointment. I'd recommend sticking to breakfast.
Our only complaint was that service is super spotty. The first time our server must have been having a bad day, as she did not seem like she wanted to be there. We all have those days. Came back a second time and service was awesome! The third time it took almost 2 hours to get out of there.

I had biscuits and gravy with a side of sausage patties (well done) I don't do breakfast on a daily and when I do this is my go to ,(usually at what most people consider lunchtime) I called my order in ahead of time, and the person taking my order asked if I wanted plastic ware and salt and pepper packets. Very nice!
When I arrived it was the peak of lunch rush and there was only one server with the kitchen staff helping with serving customers. My order was completed a few minutes after I arrived, although it took a minute for the staff to get my order in my hands and cashed out. No complaints on that because the staff was busy, pleasant, and doing all they could reasonably be expected to. (and even a little more) The sausage gravy was a little sweater than I prefer yet still very good. Biscuits were the firm type (which according to my brother means they are not home/fresh made) I personally don't mind a stiffer biscuit with sausage gravy. I also prefer a little more sausage gravy in relation to the amount of biscuits. Almost every place I can remember that I have ordered biscuits and gravy this has been the case. So no negative there, just an observation, and maybe I need to start ordering extra sausage gravy.
Travels took us back to Indiana for a short time … and I was craving a breaded tenderloin. For breakfast? Sure thing! And the waitress did not even think I was crazy. It was delicious. The diner is clean, safe and efficient. My husband and I would be a regulars if I didn’t live in North Carolina!
So far my favorite place in the city.

Went with a group of 5 - we all got our food in a timely manner, and we all loved what we got. The pancakes are perfect. The waitresses were very nice, too!
