Tsunami has always and continues to be the "Go to" place for sushi! It is hands down the best sushi I have ever had! Tsunami was the fist place I had ever eaten sushi many years ago and I have yet to find any place that compares! From the appetizers, eggplant miso, to the salad, Pimp Salad, to the sushi, Green Monster, Cupcake, Zachs Special, Leon Roll, and many more! To the dessert Chocolate Tsunami! I've NEVER had a bad experience or a bad meal here! Oh yeah, almost forgot, the Chilean Sea Bass entree is to die for! Love this place! �
Last night was amazing! Evan was a top level server. His recommendations were spot on. I had one of the best things I have ever eaten, thanks to his suggestion. PLEASE add the charbroiled oysters with that magic curry sauce to your menu. Wow!! We will be back soon. Thanks for an amazing experience!
Our go-to place for sushi. The food was amazing as always. The server had great wine recommendations. The plum wine was really good!! The only critique was that, when we arrived, the servers were in a meeting, so it took about 10 minutes to have our initial interaction with our waitress. Suggest to have someone watching for patrons coming in while meetings are happening. Will definitely be back.

I was very impressed with the menu as it has so many different varieties. User friendly, items are explained with ingredients, and pictures.
Presentation was beautiful. Plates were made for good Price VS value.
Staff are super nice, helpful and beautiful. Thomas and Maddie were super nice and attentive.
Dessert was also delicious. Chocolate cake was balanced and not too sweet.
Restrooms were clean and maintained.
Design was nice, separate are for bar, second floor and main dining area. Also a Sushi bar area where you can enjoy the chefs making the sushi rolls. In addition to a separate bar area where you can enjoy a drink.
Highly recommend this place from date, or any other occasion.

This restaurant is definitely a MUST-HAVE🔥 Its downtown next to everything. The atmosphere was very calm and peaceful. The green monster roll was the best in my opinion! I never had a roll with fruit on it, but omg🤤🤤 I will always come here when I’m in town🤌🏼

Tsunami has some of our favorite sushi in the state. We’ve been to the location in Baton Rouge, but this was our first time at the Lafayette location. However, we were blown away by the friendly service and how quickly we got our food, even when they were slammed! I’d 100% recommend the Candy Cane Roll for cream cheese enjoyers (Panko seabass, tuna, cream cheese, asparagus, and cucumber. Topped with tuna, kani, snow crab, crunchies, scallion, masago, and Tsunami and Kazan sauces). It’s an off-the-menu item, so you have to ask your server for it.
And you have, have, have to order the chocolate lava cake. Words can’t express how amazing this thing is. My wife and I have had our fair share of lava cakes (probably close to a dozen in the past few months), and this might have been our favorite!
And if you don’t get drinks, everything is super reasonably priced. We ended up only spending $55 for our two rolls, extra sauces, and dessert.
We would definitely recommend, and we’ll certainly be back!

Amazing sushi! Some very creative flavors & combinations. Eggplant miso appetizer is hard to beat. Great location, clean, friendly & knowledgeable staff. We've done several sushi rolling classes for customers and these are a ton of fun - their chef staff is entertaining & skilled! Good vibe & atmosphere.
Rajun Cajun roll, California roll, crunchy munchi roll and the big easy were pretty good!

I came here for the first time, and I enjoyed the food that I ordered.
The green beans were not steamed long enough. Obviously other patrons were disappointed ordering them, too. I saw another group just have them on their table as a centerpiece. Lol! My order of the endamame was definitely not edible, but I am glad the other food was!
The eggplant and shrimp meal was very tasty (a tad bit salty, though).
The fried rice was tasty, but I'll go to Bangkhok Thai before returning here for that item.
I enjoyed the bread pudding--it was prepared nicely/was just as depicted as photos from the website. The ice cream was really good.
Our waiter Ethan receives 5/5 Stars for his service! He was very cordial.

Nice place for a date! Beautiful decor, table setting & presentation of meals. We loved our Bento Box at lunch time, & the price is right!
