Excellent Puerto Rican food! Prices are great, service is wonderful. Nothing negative to say. My husband was looking for pastels and we couldn't find at other places around. We took a dozen home with us! We will visit again next time we are in town!
The El Navideño was amazing. The Mofongo Roast Pork & Rice were good. However, the pastel was a little bland. (To date, I have yet to have pastel that's better than Mi Abuela.)
The Ensalada de Pulpo and the Queso Frito were very tasty.
Definitely recommend this place.
Throughly enjoyed this great Puerto Rican spot. Clean, modern, and airy. Great service with servers with great personalities. Food came out quickly and fresh. Moderate portions. Now, the arroz and gandulas were highly disappointing. Basically, it was rice with sazon Goya and a few beans. But overall we were satisfied and we will be coming back.
This is my first time having puerto rican food, omg it is amazing. I love everything that was served, the food portion here is so generous that we can't finish it. Very flavorful, love the combination of rice with mofongo.

I went to Tropico Mofongo for some to go food. It was really loud. Almost too loud. I waited about 20 minutes for my food. The food was absolutely delicious. All wrapped individually. The hostess at the to go register was a sweet heart. The only thing is that I observed the hostess at the door walk past trash on the floor without picking it up. It kind odade me upset because the place , as small as it was seemed very put together and decorated nice and this woman walks past trash like it didn't matter. Other than that. Great food great service.
There were something about the restaurant, I know there is potential but, I was not convinced, as of yet! Until my 3rd visit, my husband and I. Camila’s customer service and the way she treated us, we got convinced. I always ordered the very minimum, so then I decided to order rice and bean with Churrasco. It was the best pink beans and churrasco with rice and the cole slaw, I ever had. I hope Camila get the best support from the owners of the restaurant, because her carisma was the one that convinced us to order something different to give it a try. She is really an asset to it. Thank you! We will continuing to coming back.
The restaurant is very elegant, the restrooms are very clean. The service was amazing. The food was freshly made. They have happy hour from 4 to 7. It consisted of beer or margaritas buy one the second half off. They have Sunday brunch from 12 to 4. Saturdays they have live music. Just know it's a bit spendy but you do get a huge amount of food. Mari was my wonderful server. All for her, she been there for 9 years! She go girl!
I'm happy to have stumbled upon this place randomly out and about, as it is one of my new favorites I will be willing to take quite a drive for from now on. The food is AMAZING, all of it. The place is clean, doesn't have that chemical smell like other places. The service is great too, always with a smile. Thank you for showing my wife and I a great selection and purely enjoyable food of various kinds!
We found this gem by accident. I thought it was Mexican food, but one look at the menu made it clear it was not. The Puerto Rican and Dominican Republic inspired cuisine made me a little nervous, but our sweet server (she practiced her already excellent English, and I practiced my limited Spanish) was patient with all my questions and helped me choose a dinner that was, let me say… DELICIOUS. My husband enjoyed his Cubano sándwich. I had a seasoned chicken breast with sautéed onions and green peppers, yellow rice with pigeon peas, and fried sweet plantains. (Both, pictures.) The Latin music gave an atmosphere that was lively and fun, and it seemed like most of the patrons were there to enjoy authentic food from their home country. It was a wonderful new dining experience that I can definitely recommend.
