I really enjoyed Dante's! My food was good, the Tuna appetizer! Being a 48 year old..didn't quite fit in with the 20 something's in the pool. Great place to watch drunk people in the pool dancing to way too loud music.....it's like an eternal spring break out there. Fun place if you are in the mood to party.
All I can say is-Get the calamari!!! The white sauce that comes with it is spectacular!! Double dip it with white and red sauce. Just order it!! So tender and great flavor! I'll give the oysters an 8 out of 10.. Pretty good! Service was slightly slow though, and it wasn't really busy
Great hideaway! Not crowded at all, and the service was good. Had a summer salad and BBQ quesadillas - both very tasty and fresh! Highly recommend!
Surprisingly good food and service. This place looked really touristy but one of the locals told us they had good food. I'm glad we went in! I had the conch chowder, which was awesome. The blackened fish tacos were fresh and cooked perfectly. They came with hand cut fries. Out of this world!
It was one of my best meals in key west- simple but well made
It's like a MTV Spring Break episode with food. A fun, young, spot overlooking the pier this place was very interesting to me. A suppose you can say it's a restaurant with a pool or a public pool (on steroids) with covered picnic tables and one massive tike bar.
I sat at the tiki bar and the bartender was nice and quick. The food came out very fast and it was good too. The wings were a decent size and the oysters there were larger than some of the other (more expensive) restaurants we went to.
This is a great place to see and be seen. Yummy food too!
Great lunch! Order the She Crab Soup. Nachos were unbelievable -- there was so much cheese and chicken they were covering up part of it with the mounds oh japalenos, tomatoes and lettuce. The salads were amazing too. The stuffed tomato was exceptional. They have a big pool for restaurant and bar guests so wear your swimsuit on a hot day.
Dante’s was a good time. We went as a group of 9 during fantasy fest. We arrived right at opening time and was able to get tables right by the pool. The service was slightly slow but the customer service was good. The staff were all friendly and accommodating even when it got busy. The DJ played good music but was charging $10 for song requests, which is slightly obnoxious. Overall we had a fun time.
Great public pool option if you're eating or drinking at the establishment. Beautiful pool, excellent drinks, palm trees, and near the ocean! Don't bring a fake ID here. They will getcha. Watched it happen. Barmaid handled it gracefully! The young couple did not. Hence, the police in the photo. We are heading back today because we had such a good time yesterday!
We visited Dante's on two different occasions during our trip. It was packed on our first visit--which isn't a bad thing as we did enjoy meeting new people.
The cocktails are quite weak, and sometimes it's very difficult to flag down our server to order more drinks. Thus, we found it best to order buckets of beer.
The pool during the daytime is the best part about Dante's, especially since Key West lacks any great beaches. Be aware they do start closing the pool around 5:30 PM for dinner service.
My husband and I enjoyed this place so much that we went twice during our vacation. The food is reasonable priced. Especially during happy hour. They cooked the fish that we caught and brought in. The drinks are amazing. The bartenders are a blast. We would definitely go back.
This was probably one of the best days I had in key west - maybe because it was so hot out and the pool was great - pool wasn’t cold but it did the job at keeping us cooled off. The day pool party was a blast! Everyone in the pool was such a vibe. No drama. No fights. Just very chill and great music. Full bar with food. If you’re in the poop, service comes to you. Chairs are limited for sure so you’ll have to go early to get a chair or table. We just left out things by the fence / trees until a chair became available. Bathrooms are up stairs which was weird… slippery when wet so be careful! Definitely would come back if I get to go back to key west! Have fun!!!
Dante’s is a great place to chill out by or in the pool. Drinks are always a good way to cool down and having the Super Nachos with Chicken was definitely what the doctor ordered! Yes you can play beer pong in the pool, DJ has the place jamming and the view… well that’s not bad either. Close to the Key West Express dock, whether you’re just hitting the island or departing, Dante’s is the place to go. People watching is the best at Dante’s, if you don’t see the person who’s about to get a third degree sunburn, you might be them? Seriously, use some SPF (Reef Safe of course) otherwise you’ll be hurting!
If you don’t like topless restaurants, don’t go to this one! Went to have them cook our fresh catch from the morning and they did a fantastic job! It was delicious! Not kid friendly. You need to show your ID upon entry.
The atmosphere was amazing, they had a dj playing good fun music, a pool you can swim in(with floating pong tables if you ask), the food was delicious,and the service was relatively tentative. We loved the pretzel bites with the key lime mustard and we also had fried shrimp, the cuban Sandwhich, and the bang bang shrimp. It was all so delicious!!
Absolute our favorite place to enjoy a sunny day in KW. Pool was spotless when we arrived around lunchtime. Always good music playing and the staff is great.

Dante's is an all-day party. The vibe is great. The servers are great. Food and drinks are great. The only thing we didn't like were the fries.
