Was recommended this place and gave it a shot. I'm impressed. I had a server named Jay and my god he is funny and gives me great service, and he makes the best drinks! Look forward every time! I recommend the mariscada!!!! (If I said it right) 👍
Good food and friendly staff the only thing that I don’t like is how loud the music is. If you get set by the jukebox then there is no way that you will be able to have a conversation because of the loud music. The servers can’t even hear you give your order. The live music is really loud too. Plus we don’t like that when we go in to eat we always are asked a few times by the live music if we want them to play any music for money, if we say no once then they shouldn’t continue to ask. And when they play it’s extremely difficult to have a conversation even if they are at the other end of the restaurant their music is too loud. We had to practically yell at each other just to be able to talk. Went in tonight and for some reason people had the live music going and other people had the jukebox going. Felt like we was in a club instead of in a sit down restaurant eating dinner.

The place was really clean and looked to be recently decorated. The atmosphere reflected a real cantina, but the music was a loud for quality conversation.
The waitress was friendly and brought waters with chips and salsa shortly after being seated. The chips are thick but fresh, and the salsa was spicy, but not too hot. We asked for the hotter salsa which was exactly that, but still edible. We then placed our orders.
The order came quickly and the food looked yummy. It was authentic Mexican and not like the cookie cutter national chains. They didn't skimp. The enchiladas were full of meat and no fillers. Tacos were great too!
The best micheladas I've had in Kansas City and just solid southern Mexican food to go with it. Their hot salsa is tangy and tastes fermented and their regular salsa is salty and bright. I got the chile rellenos with extra sauce and my fiance got enchiladas tres amigos. She said the mole was just like her mother makes, and the chicken was really good even though neither of us are usually chicken people. The sauce on my rellenos was perfect, and their beans are super smooth. We'll be back here.
Edit: Google asked for an update and this place continues to be great. Charro beans are really good, as is everything else on the menu.
Love the atmosphere here. The food is awesome, the wait staff are professional and courteous. The prices are more than reasonable. Go check out the lunch menu. Bring the kids. (The photo is the item I ordered off the lunch menu. 7.99 and I'm stuffed.)

Great food, cinnamon coffee, drinks of all sorts, fast cooks, fast and friendly service, good prices, big food, rarely a wait of any time whatsoever. Also, it should be known, that this restaurant is extremely adept at serving groups, even very large groups. It always amazes me how quickly they get their drinks and their food. And of course the wait staff remains attentive even after delivering the food and things
Their service waa impeccable with the food super tasty. Red spicy sauce is amazing, and the place is vegetarian friendly. Ordered Fajitas that were super tasty.
First time at Taqueria Mexico #2 and we had a great lunch. I like the carne asada tacos, chili's, and cheese dip. We will for sure be back for lunch. Our waitress was great and always checked on us to make sure we were ok.
