Great walk from shop to shop. Not how I remember growing up. It's a very busy town now, and people are rude riding bikes on sidewalks in large groups. But that's what we get for being such a beautiful part of oahu, sad mini Waikiki is right. Everything shuts down around 8. That's the best part...lol
Love the local shops and clean bathroom . It is hard to get the key 🔑 but they did oblige.
Cool place to stop and get something to eat or do a little shopping. There is parking here so you do not have to pay for this. They have several restaurants as well as stores with unique items.
Kailua town center is great place to shop and grab a bite; before heading to our breezy white Sandy beach’s by the beautiful bright blue water. 👍🏾
I love the farmers market in Thursday. Lots of great food, plenty of parking I really enjoyed the blacking ahi form gramma G's and the mushroom burger from Honolulu burger company

I like shopping at Foodland, but the parking lot is not friendly at all. Park on the perimeter stalls for easy access unless you have a compact car, then you may park anywhere. Foodland is a great store for fresh and local produce, in my opinion. The best in Hawaii. Great job done by the produce department. I also like that there is a manager/supervisor who stands in front of the checkout counters directing you to the best lane or to answer questions.
I'd LOVE to give it 5 stars, but Kailua isn't kailua anymore! Nor are the people the same anymore! A LOT of squirrely people unlike the OG's of Kailua that got in minor trouble but had respect not to steal from each other, and especially homeless and elders! The new shops are are expensive and basically for tourists. Crime has gone up since tour busses/vans have come rolling in bringing more tourists most who don't speak English and for some reason don't watch their belongings closely when in busy areas, and even completely leave them unattended and walk away.
