My favorite restaurant in Iowa City. Great drinks, great food, and wonderful gnocchi! My two favorite dishes, one with salmon and the other with chicken and asparagus use the same gnocchi, but cook it in different ways. Both are magical in your mouth. Jack and James run a great establishment. Forgot to mention my favorite drink, the Comb-over. Fantastic. And last visit out server, Simon, was superb. Highly recommend!
They did a great job handling our 10 person group. The stuffed dates and burrata were great appetizers, butternut squash ravioli and salmon were awesome. The best was the plum tart with lemon-lavender ice cream!
Went here on a date night years ago and revisited again with friends a couple weeks ago and wow, it did not disappoint. The atmosphere is super moody and relaxing and the menu has excellent selections without being an overwhelming amount of options. Our table shared the burrata which we devoured and I ordered the bolognese. They must make their noodles in house because they are cooked perfectly and have the right chewy bite. Great place to go for a date night or a small group!
We came into town late on a Wednesday night and they got us in 15 minutes before closing.
Service was great, atmosphere was nice, and we all ordered pizzas which were delicious. Crust was a little thicker than I like but the leopard spotting, crispness and open crumb with a hint of sourdough was very satisfying.
We had a daily special pizza with sun dried tomatoes, artichokes, and a honey oil that was absolutely amazing.
The rest of the menu looks very good and we will definitely need to come back.
This seems like a very nice place to take a date to. Great staff and a better atmosphere than most restaurants. The appetizers were very good.
best fried calamari and chicken alfredo in iowa city. the chicken is marinated in herbs and is super juicy and flavorful. the drinks are amazing too.
Good place to go with family for a classic Italian fine dining experience. The seafood as very good as well as the appetizers. Fun environment that is right in the middle of downtown
Can’t say enough good about this wonderful place in Iowa City. The food is top notch. A small menu packed with great items. The atmosphere is nice with that “old building” vibe. The wait staff have always been great and our food experiences have been outstanding. We love to eat here when in Iowa City.
