The service was top notch. From the moment I entered, I received a warm greeting from the hostess. The lady at the bar was great: friendly, prompt, and professional. The delicious calimari was some of the best that I've ever had. The calimari was fresh with just the right amount of nicely spiced batter and perfectly cooked. The calamari had a nice balance of tentacles and rings. The food arrived very promptly.
We have been to this Pappadeaux numerous times in the past. We normally choose to dine here if the United Polaris lounge is packed with other travellers. It’s located on the first floor in Terminal E at Houston Intercontinental Airport and near gate E4. You can either take the elevator or climb up the stairs to level 1.
I personally love their seafood gumbo. Generously loaded with shrimp and crab meat. Very tasty and flavourful. My husband enjoyed his cheeseburger. Alizeth is lovely. Friendly and attentive.
It’s quite cosy in there. Nice and relaxed atmosphere.
I'd just landed and was craving salmon but have a shellfish restriction. Cesar was an excellent server. He told the manager, and she came out to confirm my allergy and offer alternatives. The team made something insanely delicious and made my day! The pasta was the best I've had in years, and the salmon was seasoned to perfection. I will definitely return... in fact, I can't wait to fly out of IAH again.
My recent visit to Pappadeaux Seafood Restaurant at the airport was a huge disappointment. The seafood gumbo lacked flavor and was incredibly bland. Additionally, the fried calamari was soggy instead of crispy. Overall, the dining experience fell far short of my expectations. I would not recommend these dishes. I have had the other dishes at this place and they’re decent, the service is always good
The most important: service was fast and way delicious. I ordered shrimp & catfish fondeaux and I would come back just to try it again, it was amazing and as cheesy as I imagined. I tried traditional shrimp cocktail and it is good as well. I recommend this place.

I had the "#Shrimp and #Crawfish #Fondeaux" which was DELICIOUS🤤😋‼️The restaurant was clean, orderly, the wait staff & manager(s) was attentive and friendly. Food didn't take long at all to come out so you won't miss your flights. Definitely this is the place to eat in IAH when traveling in & out of IAH.
Had a long layover in Houston and craving seafood. This restaurant has very good reviews and my husband ate here years ago. Our server was friendly and helped us with the menu. The food was tasty and delicious. The price was reasonable for airport food. It was also convenient for us since our gate was E5 and we can see it from where we were sitting on the second floor.
Had a few hours before our flight back home and decided to treat my wife and myself to a good meal. I had eaten at a Pappadeaux in Dallas for my daughter's high-school graduation 20 years ago. Well, I can tell you that the food and service are still as good as the meal I had over 20 years ago. Jana, our waitress was professional and on point, not what I was expecting from an airport restaurant. For drinks, my wife had a peach martini, and I had their on tap IPA. We had calamari as an appetizer, and the Blackened Catfish / Shrimp/ and Oysters with dirty rice. The food had that real creole taste. All you had to do was bite, chew, and close your eyes to being transported to New Orleans. For desert, we split a slice of their sweet potato pecan pie with vanilla ice cream 🍦. I will definitely be going back whenever I am in the area.
Quick dash from one gate to E3 for some lunch at my favorite restaurant in IAH. I have the bar on speed dial in case I don’t have time to eat here I can get it to go by placing my order before getting off my plane! Fortunately this time I got to sit down and enjoy a relaxing meal! My favorite gumbo and garlic bread! This time it was the shrimp gumbo. Usually I get the seafood gumbo, both are great!!! I love to pair it with the aligator bites appetizer — it comes with a dipping sauce to die for. But I wasn’t that hungry this trip. I have eaten here for 20 years and never been disappointed. Yes it’s expensive but you are going to spend alot anywhere in the airport might as well get great food while you are doing it. My server (Beata G) was absolutely wonderful and a doll. I watched her help 2 young ladies traveling on their own and she treated them exceptionally so she is a professional. Will be back in a week during my stop over on my way home!!!
A nice restaurant where you can get some local specialties. The staff are well trained, welcoming and professional. You will not be disappointed - comfortable seating, you could grab a wonderful lunch while waiting for your connecting flight. Fast service is a big plus!
