I couldn't resist Tacoketo last night the smell filled the krogers parking lot in a good way I'm never disappointed every single time I come here it's hands down one of the best taco trucks I've been to keep up the good work guys
If there are better tacos anywhere in the world, I have certainly never had them. This place is capital T, capital B, The Best.
FIrst timer and I will be back. I've heard about this taco truck for a couple of years and finally made it over. It's said to be one of the best on the East side. The owner is from Guerrero and there are several things they do differently here. First, the tortillas are 'enchiladed' - actually, they're not dipped in the chile sauce, some is dabbed on them as the warm up on the griddle. This flavors them and causes them to puff up a little. You get only one tortilla per taco here, even with the corn tortillas as pictured. They also used grilled onions instead of raw and potatoes are a standard topping. I wasn't sure about that last so I got an al pastor taco without potatoes and a fajita taco with. I wound up with all the onions on the pastor and no potatoes - oh well. This came with a nice fiery salsa verde too and they were great. This is not the best pastor or fajita I've ever had but that extra step with the tortillas really makes a difference. The quantity of meat was also a little skimpy compared to most taco trucks but I guess with the potatoes added you'd wind up with about as filling a treat. Tacos are $1.50 each. I definitely will be back and I'll make sure I get the potatoes next time.
I've been eating tacos here for around 20 years now as crazy as that sounds. It's still as good and awesome as it was then.
Edit: I’ve officially determined that this is my favorite taco In Houston. Tacos Tierra caliente is now my #2
Not sure what the origin of ’koketada’ is, but the tacos here are amazing and entirely different from other taquerias in Houston. Their tacos are similar to tacos de canasta, but with gooey cheese inside. Four tacos was plenty of food, two pastor and two chicharron, served with potatoes, grilled onion, cilantro, lime, and a roasted pepper. All for $8. Parking lot is small, but they take credit cards...win some/lose some. I’ll definitely be back soon
The BEST freaking tacos ever! My Bf and I are loyal and we keep coming back. I’ve been going since 2014 and haven’t found another taco truck that’s better. Our go to are the Koke tasks and Mexican coke! If you are hesitant or looking for a new spot to try out, this is it!
One of the most if not the most unique taco stand in the entire city. Tacoketo is not only a taco place but it is also a following, an ummatched, respected and beloved staple of HOUSTON'S East End neighborhood. Do you want to know what paradise tastes like? Come on down.
Absolutely legit Houston tacos. You can still get $1 tacos. Next time I'm getting the tortas they look amazing.
This my absolute hands down favorite taco truck! Food is amazing & the service is even better! Highly recommended! If you’re not eating here you’re definitely missing out!
Loved the red tortillas and the fajita meat. Garnishes were above and beyond. Will walk a mile for this.
Great spot to swing by for a quick meal to go. They'll heat up the folded tacos on their grill so it's hot when you eat, which I really like. Also comes with lots of potatoes, onions, and cilantro on the side. The green sauce is a good amount of heat.
The best red tacos in Houston. I’ve been coming to Taco Keto for approximately 20 years. Same owners and I’m glad they are passing down the recipe to one of their family.
