Food to die for. To angelicaroma3 , I don't know if your saliva was spoiled when you ate there but I been hearing this buzz about house of chicken restaurant. I live in league city, , Texas when one of my friend recommend me to try it out. first I was kinda like, that's too far but I gave it a try. I came today and the waitress welcome me with a big smile on her face. "she spoke English very well". Then I ordered sisig, which is my favorite. Damed! I was impressed. Never had sisig like that since I went on vacation in the Philippines, it's freaking delicious! Awesome. I Also ordered my favorite drink... The sago... It's the sago To die for.... The price is pretty reasonable and the place were very clean.... I am very impress. I would come back to eat there wherever I get a chance. House of chicken.... This is gonna be my new spot !!!!

Tapsilog. My wife and I had their version of tapsilog. This reminds me of what tapa really should be. The meat was tasty (well marinated) and crispy. The presentation was impressive (this enhances your appetite some more, as if you really need it).

A regular costumer. I have been coming back to the house of chicken regularly sampling their array of Filipino food, and I will say that their establishment has beaten any other Filipino restaurant in Houston when it comes to cleanliness, ambiance, taste, service and price!

Their restaurant is clean & has a very good "tropical" ambiance. And the taste of their food, - just fine. Their food is just perfectly seasoned. I tell you, I never had to use their condiments like "patis" or "toyo" to salten the taste of their "sinigang" or "nilaga." And their dessert, like "halo-halo" & "turon a la mode" are sweetened just right.

For somebody like me who is watching & measuring my salt & sugar intake, & the thickness of my wallet, this restaurant is "it!"

You are greeted as you enter the restaurant & the time it takes to serve your freshly cooked meal is just the same average time that it will take any self-respecting restaurant that serves "a la carte" food to deliver it to your table.

It is undeniably a house of chicken! Try all their chicken dishes and it will never disappoint.

I will however, now embark, on a food trip to Italy. Upon learning that the chef/owner is also a master Italian chef, I know that I will have to taste all of his Italian dishes.

I might start with his "Spaghetti aglio, oilo, peperoncino" which I learned is the favorite Italian dish of the chef's wife!

I highly recommend for all of you to try and be regulars at this establishment, it kinda grows on you....

See you all there!

A truly satisfied customer,

THE BEST FILIPINO RESTAURANT. We've been to almost all Filipino restaurants here in Houston and so far this is the only place that i can say the best one there is. The place is so clean most esp the restroom. People are friendly most esp the owners. Food are exceptionally great!! no wonder - i just found out that the owner is an International multi-awarded Chef. Which i never experienced having one to cook for u in any of the fil-restaurants i've been to. The prices are so reasonable even they charge you with 10% service charge, the amount is still fair. I still even give a tip for a wonderful meal for me and my family.
We've already tried almost every dish they have but my children's most favorite that keep us coming back for are the Jumbo Grilled Inasal and the Crispy Max's style fried chicken. Don't u dare miss the soups too (sinigang, Bulalo and tinola) which are also great!
Last weekend i've tried their "Pinaputok na Isda" , grilled fish wrapped in banana leaves stuffed with onions and tomatoes, altho i'm not really a fish eater but this one made me think again. Now, its my no 1 choice next to Spanish Paella.
The only thing that they should improve is the service. I feel bad for the lady owner who sometimes get to do everything for herself in the dining area. They should hire more people most esp during weekends which are always packed with people... and if there's a lot of people of course you have to wait for more time for your food to be delivered on your table. Good thing, we always call to order ahead of time so we don't need to wait when we get there.
We definitely won't get tired of coming here!!!

Staff was all smiles and very helpful. The food arrived hot and fresh, relatively quickly, even though there was a sign which practically justified waits of 15 to 20 minutes. Free soup was definitely a good way to distract from the preparation time, even if it did take 15 to 20 minutes to prepare and deliver to the table. Everything tasted good with a price that did not break the bank. Prices are comparable to I-HOP = $-$$. Servings are very generous. We even brought some back home. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Food was good. I miss some certain food like Dinaguan fish cooked enough to chew the small bones, desserts that looked awsome but to full to eat. Wished we had one here in the Golden Triangle area.

FEELS LIKE GOING HOME TO YOUR MOM'S HOME-COOKING. The food is fantastic, it is well season, well-prepared and plated so nice thats looks too good to eat. The desserts are great as well. The owners are very friendly and accommodating, especially the lovely hostess welcomed us with warmth in a cold rainy day in Houston. Highly recommended, very affordable and I know I will make special trips just to have it! Bring a big appetite with just a few bucks! One of Houstons hidden treasures!!
