We stopped in before exploringTall Timber Days (1st weekend in August). Fresh baked treats were yummy! My husband really enjoyed the blueberry filled donut.
Best place for doughnuts hands down! Get there early as they sell out fast! I hope they re-open soon!!! Dang covid! We always get gingerbread cookies from them and they are AMAZING!!
Let me just say this. Best donuts(doughnuts) you can get. Very friendly. Perfect example of how you picture a local bakery. Prices are lower than anywhere else in town. We get donuts here every time we visit family here. Thumbs up Janicke!
Once a year I come up to Grand Rapids, in the spring, for a fishing trip with my MN friends, and have been doing this for many many years. Formerly from MN but now living in CA. Janicke Bakery is always a must stop! Doughnuts, bars, cookies, pies etc., and we get them all. Everything is great and of course we eat more of them than we should. On the last day of my trip I stop by to get blueberry and date bars to take home. Delicious!!
Be sure to come early if you want doughnuts since they will get sold out. You can't walk by their window without wanting to go inside.

Hands down the best donuts I've ever had. I keep searching for something that can compete now that live in WA but nothing comes close. The banana donuts are the best but everything is good.
Great rolls and doughnuts. Friendly service. Not from the area, but was a steady stream of locals - always a good sign!
