7 Mares provides a nice Mexican meal in an unpretentious atmosphere. Dine in or take out. Either way the menu is the same. Chips have a good amount of salt that goes well with the salsa. Waitstaff friendly. Service fine and you can expect to wait a little for freshly prepared meals. On street parking and a ramp for wheelchair access.
Best authentic tacos in all of GR! Such friendly service and very consistent! Love this place and would recommend to anyone that likes tacos.
This is a delightful find. The food was very good, and the seating area, although not new and chic, was very clean.
The best part, however, was the hospitality. Our server made us feel genuinely welcome. When she heard that I was going to keep some leftovers for lunch, she added some extras to make that lunch special.
It was cold outside, but the food, music, and hospitality made us feel like we were somewhere else.
I'm a chimichanga fan and often judge a Mexican restaurant on their chimi. 7 Mares has the best chimichanga I've had in GR. And the rest of their offerings are excellent too.
You probably won't be wowed by their space, but their food is excellent and their staff is always friendly.
This place is hidden gem. I drive by it every day, so when we were trying to figure out what to do for dinner we decided to give it a try! It was 3 ladies- once cooking, one prepping, and one serving, and it was such a great atmosphere. The food was even more delicious, homemade tortillas, fresh salsa, we both had fajitas and they were DELICIOUS! I highly recommend checking this place out.
Came in for lunch today (very hungover) and got their spicy shrimp dish (camarones a la diabla) — and I am STILL thinking about it hours later. It put a spell on me it was that good. It cured my hangover with its spicy magic. I could taste the love. Going back very soon for more.
Love 7 mares! We cater from 7 mares all the time for work parties and family events. Tina the owner is such delight to work with. FOOD IS AMAZING AND SERVICE IS TOO!
I remember longtime ago when I lived in the area I stop there order some food and wait for it. And they had this jug og tequila on the counter the lady would offer me a small shot glass of it while I wait. After a few times of saying no thanks I ended up trying it for the first time. It was like wow I made a face the lady chuckled alittle 😆
Food is good, and great service! I'm rather picky, and I have to say their carne asada tacos are probably the best in the city. Their birria tacos are really good too.
Great neighborhood joint, I love the authenticity of this place and it's in walking distance for most people in that area fairly priced also
